7. It's interesting how you find icon more suitable for heavy off road use. Icon is a degressive shock Fox is a linear shock. If the same spring rate is used linear or progressive (king) shocks are more suitable for heavy off road use. Degressive shocks transmit more of the initial jolt of a bump through the body. Linear and progressive shocks have a more plush feel for daily driving and are more predictable with better overall traction.

8. If I ran the icon at 3 inches would I need any other supporting mods to keep my other suspension components from failing prematurely?

11. I would no recommend icon system. I did have 35k miles on it. No offroading and the coil snapped. Horrible quality

12. Icon sucks. My truck had got them less than 2 years ago and the front end upper control arms have already been replaced and the rear shocks blew up when I went out in the desert for my 3rd time.

17. Any adjustable coilover that's got a price tag like these things should be set to customer specification before delivery. If that's not part of the deal, these things aren't worth paying for.

18. I've got a 2013 for with almost 100,000 miles. Its spent alot of time in mud on logging roads and dirt roads. Which would be better for me and how long will they last before needing replacing? Somehow my stock suspension has actually held up pretty good.

19. LOL fox is a street shock . icon is for offroad. WTF. you might want to do more research b4 you make that statement. ICON is better because the adjuster ring is wound to 2 inches already. how lazy are you? just wind the adjuster to 2 inches on the fox as well b4 you install it OMG.

21. The fox has both hi speed and low speed adjustability. I’ve researched all males of kits and watched as many tech videos as I can and I think the low speed adjustability would be incredible

22. I have a 2017 regular cab, 2.7l, stock bumper and a three inch rake in the stance. If I want it dead level and I max out the adjustment to achieve this will the ride be stiff AF?

24. The coil on the Fox shock looks like it comes awfully close to closing up, would make for a harsh bump stop. I've always liked that the Eibach's on Icons have such an open wind to avoid that.

25. Hey guys I’m actually looking at the fox 4” coilovers because I just did a 4.5” zone lift on my truck

    I actually have a ranch hand on my truck and want to get the height down atleast half an inch because it’s too high for me as it is in front
