Betfair Scalping Strategies – Trading a meandering market

When you are trading on Betfair, some markets have little direction and are ‘range bound’ they trade within a broadly defined range.

Here is a weak market, defined by a trading range.

I don’t think this is my best trade ever on Betfair, but it shows how I would nip in and out of a weak, range bound market, which is a great example of scalping Betfair.

If you are interested in Betfair scalping for beginngers why not check out the rest of our channel.

Just looking to nick the odd tick here and there and on this trade, this is one of my betfair scalping strategies!

If you want to know how to make money and how to trade, scalping is a great place to start.

  1. Peter hi, how do you get the £14 profit? This parts confusing me; do you let go in play? If not how do you back out to collect profit?
Is they're a video for this part.

  2. Thanks Peter this is very relevant for me. I find I am struggling insofar as I often try to take a tick in the right direction but struggle when it heads against me. I develop a profile of small wins but occasional larger losses. I think the problem I have is with scalping like this I limit the upside but take more ticks down before I bail out. I will need to watch this video several more times!

  3. You mentioned you were expecting the prices to " cycle up and down " but then you chase the lay price up on the 2nd fav and enter at the very top of the price range ? Why not back at that point if expecting the price to " cycle up and down " . I would have thought the expected call would have been a reversal , ie a back bet ?
Same at the very end , you enter at very top of range on the outsider which had already drifted massively.
Well done for making a profit but i didn't see a strategy for us to work on.
    Confused.

  4. Cool video. I wouldn't try to trade one more horse at a time if you are inexperienced in the market. Any chance of getting the ability to change the colour on a number on the ladder for the duration of that market. So at 7 mins out I can click on 4.6 on the Fav ladder and permanently highlight that price until the off. I'd like this as I'd like to watch where the market goes from variable time lines across several ladders in any one race. Thanks for listening.
