Betfair Trading: Limited then banned accounts – How bookies kicked me out of the gambling industry

This is a video on how bookmakers / bookies kicked me out of the industry by restricting my accounts and how I got limited and eventually banned, but exchanges brought me back!

Before BetAngel my earlier foray’s into gambling met with stubborn resistance from the bookmakers. This was my first (and last) experience of how they could stop you from placing bets if they thought you were a winner and it was at that point I turned my back on the industry.

Of course, betting exchanges changed all that and heralded my return to the industry.

I initially started arbing (most people would recognise this as matched betting) before trading took over my attention. stake

  1. The mistake people make is being too GREEDY as always. The secret is to have several accounts and never take more than 40 quid off any online bookmaker a week. If you do this you can last a long time and stay under the radar. I've taken over 10k from bookmakers. Over a year. Fron 12 different accounts. No doubt had I tried to do that with one account they'd have shut me down.

Its ALWAYS GREED PEOPLE. Be smart about things.

  2. M8 please help bet 365 have blocked me and kept my money I've spoke to them they said they will call that's it what do it do please help buddy

  3. Do you know what's even funnier, losing more than you won then getting banned cause you won big from a bonus bet which they called to give you….

  4. If you profit about $2100 per week from an online book, will they shut you down? Meaning if I cash out $2100 per week?…I'm talking about the popular books like. Bookmaker, Bovada, betonline…ect?

  5. Hello and thanks for this video. I have a question: in your opinion, in the future, should betfair and the other exchanges limitate your account or close it as if you were betting normally without using exchange? In my opinion yes, because with trading, if your follow the right discipline, you would probably get profit in the long run, and I am sure that betfair and the other exchange would not like that a lot of traders are winning in the long run… what do you think? Thanks

  6. moral of the story dont bother with bookies, ther is something called exchanges. i cant figure out how bookies still exist thy should of died with blck buster video

  7. Hello mate, were the bets ambiguous and written in a way where you could t lose or were they all legitimately written?
They’re even stricter nowadays, especially with people betting early mornings taking the early bird prices

  8. You have to be very careful with betfair. If you are a scalper, your profits are a tiny percentage of an event, and if betfair suspend the market you will lose your stake with no recourse. Betfair will use all manner of excuses.

Just today betfair decided to suspend 2:00 Market Rasen, for no reason. Both Smarkets and Betdaq covered the event.

  9. let's say you bet 1 pound and win 100k, are they allowed not to pay you if winning really big on a bet ticket? did it happen to anyone?

  10. Betfair and other British bookies are only looking for suckers. They cut limits and boot sharp players as quickly as they can figure out the customer might win.

  11. what a load of whiners. Bookmakers are not a charity – like any other high street buisness they are there to make a profit – if they cant make a profit they have to close down. So they manage their profit and loss – which business doesnt?

  12. Grateful for exchanges ? Betfair in effect closed my account by raising my commission from 4% to over 60 % reason being that i was winning

  13. Many years ago (maybe fifty) I watched a TV programme about a professional punter who would spend most of the night looking at odds offered and then check the form books and his own records and identify those odds that he considered to be generous. He would then back the relevant horses (usually on course as I recall). He lived in a beautiful flat opposite York racecourse and had a beautiful motor so he was clearly doing a good job. I hoped that he lived long enough to be able to use computers so that he could get some sleep.

  14. They will offer you a coffee when your on the fobt's at £100 a spin.. Try putting £100 on a 2/1 chance at Hexham or Kelso etc. on ANY bookies 1 minute before the off..
The bells will be ringing out for….

  15. Anyone bet at betmaker that closed in February 2013? Best betting exchange ever. There was a guy who was a market maker who put thousands of dollars up at a time and didn't know the correct odds. Made a fortune there. Still get goosebumps and laughs to this day thinking about it.

  16. Bookies will ban you if you keep winning there is no way to beat them. its a game where the bookies can only win.

We must together try do something about this by contacting the government to ban bookies from closing accounts without permission.

People lose there houses, family and friends and the bookies have no problem allowing this and encouraging them it is sick!!!

  17. Wouldn't novices using your software face challenges themselves i.e. wouldn't any system or algorithm set up by a novice likely be crude versus that of a whizz/veteran? I would have thought the exchange is mature by now and so novices would in a similar position to a mug punter in the sense that they would be just providing liquidity for others, because lower capital therefore risk levels would prevent you from being first in, with the advantages that would bring?

  18. Why don't you just get a mate to put on for you? Then once they get blocked use another guy lol play them if they're playing you simple!

  19. screw the bookmaker ! we can beat them
I made this script that automatically scrap odds and statistics for all games in live bet365 to figure out if there is a new goal coming and likely for which team will it be .

  20. I've been losing on bet365 for years . This month i hit a winning streak and profit over £4.5 grand and the restrict my bet to shrapnel. I think they've made a big mistake .

  21. shit. so if people get too good, they're gone. well, that's why professionals like me move to vegas and clean up

  22. Very politely swerved I liked that.

I have watched many of your videos and look forward to watching many more. I'm still wet behind the ears in terms of trading with only a short time under my belt, but I must agree, what a fantastic opportunity this is and people like yourself are very selfless in the help you give out to others.

    Good fortune to you!

  23. I know the feeling – in fact, i took it further since i've even travelled to different countries for betting. Swiss state monopoly bet to 120% per game, but at that time they never changed the odds. Remember those Inter toto cup games were opening odds of 2.70, could be 1.65 at the kick-off. We used to bang them in system bets such has 3/5 or 4/7 etc (just the wrong odds). When Germany started with betting was much easier, because competition meant bookies betting to 104%. Use to track the Betfair markets within an hour of the start, and lazy shops never changed odds. With everyone rushing to get bets on they never clocked who was winning/losing. In any case, i used to have a couple of village idiots collecting so they wouldn't notice. Where there is a will there is a way!!

  24. interesting stuff, thanks for sharing…..am getting more and more frustrated with bookies even as a newcomer to this "game".

  25. 10 bet are the worst, they restricted my bets to 0.10p once they sniffed I was going to roll over my deposit & their bonus, their was no way I could stake enough to meet the roll over with 0.10p stakes & they new it. Coral have just restricted my account so I cant get BOG & i am only less than £10 in profit! something needs to be done because they are not playing a fair game at all, they did that all so in their shops & wont pay out at better odds when you win

  26. yup bookies are shocking for limiting players, especially the lesser known bookies online. yesterday I placed a 10r bet with then then a 30 and then a 60 , all of which lost , and then my account has been restricted since to the amount I can bet. something around the 50p range . ridiculous

  27. Betfair charge winners between 20%-60% premium charge or a winners tax.So if you back £1000 at evens with Betfair and are a 60% PC client you will get paid at 2/5 not evens.
They will give you £1400 back.Back a £1000 at evens with the bookies and they will give you back £2000.So betting exchanges are useless.
