I think Quest Pro is a thing for Facebook staffs, not for gamers. I hope Quest 3 will same Quest 2 but with round flat candy lenses and lighter in front.
This event isn't targeted at shareholders or investors, but is actually a recruiting event.
Getting the best talent to come work on these exciting projects is necessary and is why Meta is showing a glimpse on what they are working on.
Talent needs a compelling reason to come and work for the company like the TeslaBot or the Metaverse.
I may be overimagining things but if the Quest Pro is truly a industry headset it would be so cool to design the layout/interior of your home.

I'm still incredibly disappointed in the public who has allowed Facebook to ruin the VR industry. Facebook of course tries to twist everything to make it seem like VR industry is booming thanks to them but they have hurt and segmented the VRindustry. They stole the technology from Valve and the oculus Kickstarter people who invested and backed and open platform then converted it back into a closed platform which should be completely illegal, they lied to us about everything and once again Facebook gets away it it. They are segmenting the VR market and throwing tons of money in VR for the purpose of becoming the exclusive monopoly of the VR industry by brute force. It's absolutely freaking degusting and people support it. Then sadly VR influencers/journalists etc. have no choice but to go along with it and entertain Meta events like this because if your not covering Facebook your missing out on a significant portion of the VR industry now. Sad people support the company doing all the exclusives too, you don't see VR games being steam exclusives and only being allowed to be played on valve index like you see Facebook do constantly with the Meta, why do people think that's ok? Just willingly submit to the evil Facebook company who has been screwing people over for over 20 years now. So few of us that has willpower to not submit to absolute companies like Facebook and it's sad. They are even responsible for all the political misinformation and misinformation regarding the pandemic as well, they are literally the primary source of misinformation online. Valve clearly has given up on the VR Industry, had plans on making index and making 3 major games then ended up with just half life Alyx and other titles abandoned. So unless we have a miracle and some other company saves the VR industry with a competitive open sourced platform, VR will be doomed thanks to Facebook. Once Facebook has the monopoly and no competition,, you can bet that innovation in VR industry will come to a halt and they will just milk customers from then on, this is not a company who gives a crap about people, they only care about the bottom line and are getting desperate as all the old people on facebook die out.
At 2:01:50 it shows the dock IS actually included. Not that that makes this headset any more affordable for the regular person haha.
Is it just me, or did the hosts go to the same " how to communicate" seminar? Move your hands when you speak, to appear more alive.
