Off-road Surgery at Pilot Rock, Fox Factory 2.5 DSC Installation

We took to the trail to install a fresh set of Fox Factory 2.5 Reservoir coilovers with Dual Speed Compression for a true before and after test on our 2015 Toyota Tacoma.

The Tacoma was previously equipped with ICON 2.5 (non reservoir) in the front, so the upgrade to the FOX 2.5 DSC is a change in many factors:
– Additional reservoir helps with primary shock heat disippation
– Additional reservoir lowers operating pressures within the main shock
– High Speed Adjustment allows fine tuning of hard hits; whoops, g-outs, basically any obstacle that forces a full compression or full droop out of the shock
– Low Speed Adjustment allows fine tuning of smaller shock movements, body roll, nose dive, and some washboard roads

  1. I got the FOX 2.5 Factory Race Series front coil overs and 2.0 Performance Series on the rear of my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 TRX4 5.7L with all MOOG components. Man, you would not believe how fast you can drive this behemoth full-size pick up through the desert!!!!!

  2. So you trying to sell people that fox is having a hard time selling plus you probably got those expensive shocks for free. Who in their crazy mind would change setting every time you drive.

  3. Nice vid! Pretty gutsy doing that on the trail but that's the best way to compare. Those DSC pretty easy to figure out ? so why not KINGs ? Thanks

  4. Awesome job walking through the planning and decision making behind the suspension setup! Great job on the field install too.
