Print 2.5X Faster using Cura

Chuck shows you the new Filament Friday Extra Fast Slicer Profile for Cura. The profile and cut print times in half or more and still deliver functional prints that look good. With the help a viewer the profile is actually faster than the Ultimaker Machine Profile Hack he showed in a previous video. He shows you some samples, details on the way it works and how to use it on your own 3d printer.

  1. I cannot download the profile only the model because I do not have the same machine (I have ender 3 V2 neo). Is there a way to go around this or does anyone have the whole profile to share?

  2. Definitely made my day. I used to avoid printing big objects. But today i am going to with less stress.
Also I want to print those containers, is that a design you made or is it available for personal use? Thanks for another great and useful fantastic video!

  3. It won’t let me down load it as a 3rd file, only a zip, even when I select it in the drop down.

  4. Great idea. but! I went back to S3D (now V5.01 finally) There's some things I don't like about Cura. I tried and tried but just can't get used to it.

  5. Brilliant! Thanks to you and your other contributor to this, it's made such a difference. As I'm fairly new to 3D printing I never used to print larger prints due to the time but this has changed everything

  6. I am curious of the dimensional deviation of “normal” vs the “fast” profiles…

A hanger has a lot of room for error. I am curious about fitted parts and how fast is too fast…

Edit: do higher end printers have a “high speed” option similar to CNCs? The machine reads ahead and adjusts the feeds to maintain accuracy when changing directions?

  7. I learned a lot from your videos, thanks. Does the ender 3 v2 have a max speed limiter to prevent any damage to steppers or other parts from extended printing at high speeds? Thanks

  8. Hey, thanks for uploading this video! The print quality is pretty darn good considering how much time I save!! Thanks for sharing this.

  9. Hi man! Thank's to your videos because are very useful, and can solve a lot of trouble!
Can i adjust the fast profile for PETG? Did you try it? Do you think can work?

  10. Thanks for great help, however, any possible way to print even faster as draft, just to check over all project outline and measurements, then if well print final resulrs
