SpaceX is ready to launch Starship in a few weeks!? Will all the new upgrades hold?

Wow has this been a week packed with launches. Loads of sweet updates on the Starship program yet again as the launch mount shielding continues upgrades for the orbital flight test. It is looking super robust now, but will it hold up to the forces of 33 Raptor engines? Musk stated that “SpaceX is ready to launch Starship in a few weeks”. Would love your thoughts on that! So so much more though. Repeated Falcon 9 action all with their own unique missions and views. Neat updates on the maiden flight of Terran 1, as well as a sneaky peak at their future Terran R rocket. On top of all that, Rocket Lab is back in action as well with their latest mission!

  1. THREE LAUNCHES A DAY  IS A SMALL TASK FOR  SPACE X,  JUST BUILD MORE LAUNCH  PADS !!!!  I CAN EQUATE FOR 8  LAUNCHES  IN   24 HOURS  AS BEING VERY POSSIBLE  SAFE  AND PRACTICAL .CAN A LAUNCH MOUNT  BE 3D PRINTED AND COULD IT BE REUSABLE, IF SO HOW PRACTICAL AND COST EFFECTIVE WOULD IT BE

  2. 6:38 – I know SpaceX bought out most of Boca Chica's homes for employees, but those campers over by the high bays and rocket garden certainly look appealing. Short walk to work and a nice, thick lawn to stare at while you are inside. Plus you can drive your house somewhere safe to watch the launch! Just roll out your awning, put out a few chairs, and grill up some food while you and your buddies watch the launch.

  3. It's been "a few weeks" away for what feels like years. Beginning to think its a scam a la Musk's other ventures in the Cybertruck, Roadster, Semi, Boring Company etc

  4. Have they considered laughing during perigee when the moon's orbit is closest to earth as it might reduce weight on rocket?

  5. Why don’t all satellites fly in the same direction? This way possible colisions with little junk wouldn’t be so harmful.

  6. Richard Branson might be a good enough businessemen, but terrible at engineering unfortunately or he would fix his space companies and accelerate things.

  7. Love what you do and your matter of fact down to earth presenting. Thanks for all your hard work putting the video updates together. Could the part be some kind of fail-safe actuated mechanical locking key for each of the clamps. Just a guess. Keep up the good work. 👍

  8. Hey Marcus my gaming mate from rural Tasmania has been using Starlink and raves about it, reliable and epically fast.

  9. Marcus I'm intersted by your thoughts on when this may launch? Seems like dates come and go, do we have any indication what is done what is left to do, that might be a valuable chart to show in your presentations. The factual information is great but I'm always inteersted to know what step they are up to.

  10. This is all completely surreal and utterly appreciated, Marcus! You are amazing at relating all of this information in the fashion you do, and I've been a fan for some time. Cheers to you, and I hope that AI doesn't replace you any time soon! 🚀 And…I'm between 50-65. 🙂

  11. It will be ready when it's ready – thanks for the updates, but I feel like you've posted this title a dozen times now.

  12. I'M BACK,  DDM AKA STAR CHILD , THREE LAUNCHES A DAY  IS A SMALL TASK FOR  SPACE X,  JUST BUILD MORE LAUNCHES  PADS !!!!  I CAN EQUATE FOR 8  LAUNCHES  IN   24 HOURS  AS BEING VERY POSSIBLE  SAFE  AND PRACTICAL .

  13. Personally, I think any altruistic attempts to make good content involving the Chinese space station are going to be inevitably hobbled by the CCP's typical antics, maybe I'm wrong but we shall see…

  14. When I look at the overall mammoth size and height of these rockets I often wonder how they manage to weld it all together without it all just folding up when it ascends…

  15. Elon cracking the whip to launch on 4/20 is about as irresponsible as offering $54.20/share for Twitter. See also: Challenger Disaster.

  16. I'd really like to see an uninterrupted, real-time video from a Falcon booster going all the way up to separation, then back down to the pad. There's one time-lapse on Youtube that is not real-time.

  17. Yo, in many of the fly overs of the Boca Chica site, a collection of what appear to be RV's can be seen parked on what looks like artificial turf. They're just behind the mega bay. Any idea what these are for? Given the pace of work at the site, could they actually be short/long term accommodation for SpaceX workers? Or are they something else entirely?

  18. All these little setbacks for Terran 1 are actually really wonderful for learning and debugging their systems! It's FANTASTIC they aren't LOSING a rocket every time and just the money and time it takes (and costs) to set up and then scrub a launch. It's a GOOD thing!! They are going to go pretty far, watching Everyday Astronaut's footage, it looks like they're going to be a great company. I'm excited!

  19. ok … but can we all agree that elecric thrust vector controls (see video from 1:34 onwarda) are better that hydraulic gimballing of the engines? what does "better" actually mean or measure in this context, anyway? interested in further detai/or ideas … lmk thx, adk!

  20. Electric better than hydraulic? I hope so. 1 works with lots of manholes, the other is new and untested on the rocket. Elon has a great track record with electric but my guess is hydraulic has a long history on rockets.
