  1. Chad Pennington was going to be good actually but suffered from rag arm (because of injuries) . I remember Randy Moss complaining about Cunningham and Jeff George not throwing it deep to him and wanted Minnesota to draft Pennington. I'm not joking.

  2. Almost as bad as trading away draft futures, then compounding it with a cap crushing deal. I am of course talking about the Browns. Nothing relevant for Broncos fans here.

  3. Jets stockpiled 4 picks only to have it be in one of the weaker draft classes in NFL history. At least their first two guys made a couple pro bowls.

  4. 2000: Belichick suckered into the Jets job and it cost the Patriots a draft pick.

2023: Belichick took it personal and as of now has as many SB wins as the Jets have playoff wins since 2000 and was the mastermind behind arguably the greatest ever dynasty in the Brady led Patriots.

The Jets, Buttfumbling even before the Buttfumble.

  5. I would argue that only Becht was a bust, so to speak. He was a good blocking TE, solid player overall, but not 1st round material. You summed up Pennington, perfectly; when he was on the field, he was good, if unspectacular.
Ellis was a 2× ProBowler and had a good career, mostly with New York. And Abraham is a borderline Hall Of Famer: 5x ProBowler, 2x All-Pro, and finished in the all-time top 20 for career sacks.
