Interesting comment from DC about the vast majority of Derby winners having run at 2yo. I'm going to show my age here and flag up MORSTON. Didn't run at 2 and won the Derby off a win in a minor race at Lingfield. If there is a Morston in this years renewal then ARTISTIC STAR has a similar profile. Unbeaten with the added bonus of a win at 2. His breeding is interesting as he's by Galilleo and is similarly bred to both Pied Piper and Brazil so the step up in trip should suit.

Good show guys. I just don't think passenger will stay imo just. By watching his running style, seems to have lots of speed, his last furlong in Dante was underwhelming to m. His pedigree suggests optimum trip approx 9f. Off course v.good horses win over lots of distances but all usually have an optimum trip. Remember watching his sire and dam racing. Jessie's horse looks very good at leop. Again worry for trip. Sprewell and passenger the class speed animals. Think Jessie's has a much better chance of staying dist though and is still good value bet.
