Five agents were arrested in Kathmandu for organizing illegal betting and cryptocurrency trading through the online platform 1xBet. The group was found to have conducted transactions worth more than Rs. 741 million through various digital wallets and banks. The artists who promoted the betting website are also being investigated for potential benefits received. The arrested individuals are currently held at the District Police Range in Kathmandu for further legal procedures.
