NOTE: its not a fuse!!!! lol, working on a 2007 vw jetta with a 2.5l engine, customer complaint is that the veh will not start, the veh does crank, no engine light with the key on, cooling fans are on high, these are signs of an ecm that is not communicating, found that there is no communication with ecm using the scan tool and all the other modules have a networking fault ecm no comm stored, I hope you enjoy this video and thanks for watching.

Are those VW wiring diagrams? I was glad to hear you say they are crap. (I thought it was just me who thought that). Maybe I'm just addicted to the detail of Mitchell wiring diagrams. I'd have a hard time using those diagrams.
Were is the TCM on this specific model? Cant find it anywere

Good afternoon sir. Yesterday a car owner called and drove me to a garage where is car was parked. On getting there, battery from is lexus was pulled out and used for my testing in his Passat.
The car that is faulty is a 2008 Volswagen Passat. The things I noticed when I connected my scantool were: P2014, P0113, P2185 were the check engine codes I saw. But when I checked for modules P0190, P0798, P0864 and P0841 were added previous 3 codes I highlighted 👆.
Before long, about 7 minutes or less during my scan I wanted to crank the engine over to check the live data and the operation of the car unfortunately the battery went low.
Hence, I couldn't carry out more test. In an interview of the car owner about what he used to notice/ symptoms in the car and what was replaced in the car in an attempt to solve the problem. He highlighted that it happened on is way, when the car was on motion and suddenly went off. He allowed the car to cool down for some time. When he tried starting it again it started and moved for some distance and stalled out again.
He invited an electrician to check the cause and fix the problem. The fuel pump was replaced and an actuator as he said but that he can't recall the name at the moment. The car was then driven to a garage where I meet it. Since then they've been trying to fix the problems permanently but to no prevail.
Initially, most of the times the battery will drain out quickly and when car gets hot, the car will go off on motion. But he has not noticed stalling off the car at idle.
Consequently, the engine oil was replaced, top cylinder valves grinded, oil switch, plugs, coils, top gasket and PCM were replaced but the problem was still not fixed.
Moreover it was also noticed that mostly the car will hesitate whenever it wants to climb hill like a popping sound accompanied with that and move very slowly on smooth road.
At present, the man said the car problem have gotten worst, it only cranks but doesn't start anymore.
In summary, the car used to drain very fast, struggle to climb a hill or bump, and when on motion engine stalls when hot.
Please help me out on how to solve the car problems and get the car starting again.

Hey man i hope you can help me with my trouble, my vw jetta. 2005 2.5L don't start and my electrician already check everything all fuses box and apparently everything is fine the only code that we got from the scanner was 01314, what should be? Or what we should check or should do? Wow exactly the same problem I have from 2007 jetta 2.5. I am not getting any power to ECM . At this point I'm lost I think I'm gonna tow the car to junkyard. And never will purchase Volkswagen again.

I hope you answers bro hey l have Jetta 2010 2.5 lt l buy and one of those dealer they fix it and sale again anyway 19 day with the car l see the light of gasoline was on and he started act like he need gasoline but he have gasoline enough so the epc light came on l run to gas station l put gas and the light disappear and little while the light came again o wow l take to the mechanic the said is the map sensor they said the put a new one l pay him 350 cuz they told me is gone be 700 dollars we put half and you the other ok l pay the other day in the morning the car run good but the same day the light came again l call him hey what happens the car no want run ! They told me we no have the tools for that car ok l take him to another mechanic to scanner and the diagnostic said need timing belt and pedal sensor and crank something l don’t know the light of check engine never came on any way l ask what code is that is p0016 p0122 p0221 p0106 that 4 code l take back to the Same mechanic with the diagnostic now let see they can fix it what you think can be please l need help l don’t know what to do

So I am getting nearly the same problem as in this video; except my check engine light is on, and I get three distinct beeps when the ignition is switched on, indicating low oil or oil pressure but oil levels are fine; the car cranks but no start and no spark(battery, plugs and coil all fine) I am getting ECM code 01314 on my transmission, brake electronics, Airco and instrument cluster, any thoughts?! Thanks!

I suggest doing a capacitive discharge of the car battery before changing out parts. Disconnect both battery terminals, starting with the ground – (negative), connect both connection leads with a jumper wire for at 1 minute. Reconnect both battery terminals, hopefully that helps.

My car is doing the same thing. 2006 jetta 2.5. No power at the 5th pin on ecu (white wire). Also don't have 5v at 4th pin on maf sensor. Need wiring diagram for the white wire on ecu 5th pin.
This exact thing happened to me. However my gear selector PRNDL started flashing also. Plus the Steering wheel came upon dash.
