Sir g, we use delta transformer in transmission line when we use / Consume electricity so we need neutral so we get neutral from common point of three phase R/Y/B so that We make star winding on output point.

In delta there is less voltage and also reduce cost of wire .it is called transmission line , so in transmission line we don’t need neutral .
And on other Star side it is distribution side and for equipment and to maintain voltage pressure we need neutral .
