An EASY Money Making Strategy for Laying Horses! (And Laying in General)

Laying is a great way to make money on the Betfair Exchange. It’s why Betfair was so revolutionary when it first launched in the early 2000s. The reason is most people will find it much easier to pick who will not win, rather than who will win.

Horse racing trading is great for laying horses because there are often 8+ horses you can lay per race. Surely you can find a loser? I mean most people who bet have been picking losers for years! (Only problem is they were trying to find winners).

I outline one strategy I think any unsuccesful Horse Racing trader can use on Betfair to make money! This work especially well if you are not good at picking winners in Horse Racing trading.

  2. Interesting video Martin, I've been wary of laying because of liability if I make the wrong selection. Will have a rethink. Thanks.

  3. Been laying horses on Betfair for over a year now and I'm about £300 left of premium charges allowance before being charged 20% commission. So I'm thinking of switching to laying on Smarkets. Just a bit nervous about the cashout if needed before the race if I change my mind on a lay cause sometimes it says there isn't enough liquidity whereas Betfair always lets you do it. I guess to get round it I could potentially manually cashout by putting in a quick back out. Also for some reason I can only deposit a maximum of £1000 per month on Smarkets. It's a shame it basically isn't as good as Betfair but I think it could be worth it to avoid that 20% charge. (Edit: I've changed my mind.. Betdaq is the one! Not smarkets if you're looking for an alternative to Betfair.. I've looked at the matched volumes and it has better liquidity for horse racing than Smarkets, also has the graphs and ability to watch the race just like betfair does… plus low commission.. BETDAQ is the best)
