Many years ago it was something that interested me, before I started to trade Betfair full-time. To find out what makes a good back-to-lay, check out this blog post:

  1. Caan Why do you use Betfair? You are giving away 2% of your profit. You could pay £20 a month to Oddsmonkey and get zero commission on Smarkets plus you will be notified of any bookmaker promotions that are basically free money.

  2. On Betting software it has Price Lay over time… a graph thats showing the price movements since the price / race came to market….. Surely a good indication of price movements based on historic trends… ie: if a price rockets instantly when the market opens its a fair "Guess" its going to come back down again & vise versa ?? Digging your tutorials fella i only came across matched betting earlier today but looking into it for the hustling repertoire

  3. Dude what software are you using ? Which Exchange do you use ? I've signed up to BETDAQ and really just getting my head around it…. I have traded stocks since 2011 successfully so have the psychology down to a tee. Out of interest would you lay larger amounts on the favorite on the big races like Grand national in eaarlier pricing ?

  4. will it help if I have ahead info of what will happen? like I have live video ahead of what is on betfair? ahead like 10 seconds?

  5. Hey Caan, is there any statistic sites that show horses that go to the front early? Or is it more a case of guesswork. Perhaps there is some kind of form book you can get each race that tells you the early runners.

    Many thanks for any advice.

  6. Have you ever traded in play on darts. There seems to be more and more darts matches available now. where I imagine odds can shift extremely quickly

  7. Can someone please, pretty please just confirm the "trade talk" that is used constantly in many videos? which for us beginners can become harder and harder at each viewing…..right! I'm clued up with how the process of backing and laying works – but when the term "get out" is used. Is that the same as "scratch" the bet? Meaning just cancel it in basic terms right??…or is it referring to – once you've made a back bet (before, at the start or during the race) and as the horse is performing the way you want/predict,,,,are you laying to match the back bet at obviously a lower price? Therefore "getting out" before the price rises and doesn't leave a profit???….or have I just complicated myself further?!…he he..thanks.

  8. I only have one question, how are you actually getting out of the trades, I can understand the method behind it but I don't get where you're clicking to get out of the trades. I understand that your backing a horse to win then when the price falls you take the cash out so to speak, is the specialist software?

  9. Hello Caan. First time I have asked a question on your blog. Reason being have just joined. I know all about losing as was caught for bout £800 on a LTD where I royally screwed up! My query is does your software allow you to back a horse when it hits say 1.9, and then, if after a certain time be able to lay it when odds get to about 7.5/8.00 ?. Would your OCO Geek tool do this?

  10. Hi Caan, love your videos, thanks for sharing.  What is your fave way of identifying front runners, do you use any paid services like Timeform that supply pace statistics or something else please?
    Thank you kindly.

  11. Really annoys me how im watching this but i don't have a clue when your actually doing something on betangel or whatever you use. Makes it almost impossible to follow. Call me dumb but i just can't get my head round the trading software.

  12. Quality! What amazes me each time you do this is the speed at which it all happens. I've seen the tips on twitter and seems you've got it down to a tee! If only I had the confidence in selecting them like you do. Thank you for sharing, it's inspirational
