I rat nested so bad that I had to learn to take the side plate off the first day it was such a mess… I advised not to buy a bait caster if you have never went fishing… perks of growing up with out someone to teach you these things!
I love the bait caster but so far i ran through 2 spools of line so its hell 😢

Maybe you can shed some light…I bought a bait caster reel and have watched every video on how to cast without back lash. I ave adjusted the brakes, tension , and everything else. My casts go like nowhere that I want them, and I get wicked back lash every frickin time …even when I apply pressure and stop with my thumb…WTF?
I rather just use a open cast 😂
