The in-game start date for the episode was the 8th of Fessuran in the year 843. Sam’s gas can has a picture of FCG with a tongue which says “It’s canon”

DnD's Open Gaming License has been a boon for Critical Role, the ttrpg community, and ultimately WotC themselves. Currently, it looks like they are trying to not just create a new OGL to exert control over third-party publishers (like CR), but to extort creators by revoking their rights retroactively. I will not financially support WotC if they attempt to revoke any previous OGL. If you feel similar, the OneDnD survey is currently live on their website, and has a comment box.

Any moments I missed? Feel free to post them here. Is it Thursday yet?

  2. Somewhere, in an alternate universe, the group rolled perfectly and the porno plan actually worked. Part of me really wants to know how that ploy played out.

  3. Compliments to Matt… just the description of Pâté getting blown about through Laudna’s eyes made me motion sick.

  4. The first Rule of Fight Porn is You Do NOT Talk about Fight Porn.
    ….
The second rule of Fight Porn is make sure the Ghast is blowing the hair wind the right way.

  5. A tragedy in 3 acts:
Sam: I cast Command on all three of them
Matt: What do you command them to do?
    Sam: Fap

  6. A note on realism:
I've seen many knockouts watching MMA. They wake up in seconds. If they don't, there's a serious chance they won't wake up at all.

  7. 3:41:48 or around there, "A *few* contacts there" that pitch drop reminded me of a family friend that fled Germany, and often used a mix of German and British accent. She was a sweetheart, often went on full stories of her life but not in self loathing but more like a narration watered down for a kid to not be traumatized or as traumatized from the stories told. That partial line just made me remember her, her age got to her, but we felt that she was above mourning and wanted basically the family to get on with acceptance in the last few years. She never sounded German, but still said she is German

  8. 1:01:20 Remembering Laudna Imogen's markings was a beautiful move by Mercer. Without that, the DC should have been super low, because I can't think of a reasonable explanation for the scene Bell's Hells created other than what they claimed it was.

  9. I like how they convinced Matt that the person they captured was male, he described them as “she” multiple times, but the group stuck to “he” and by the time they were actually talking, Matt just went with “he” as well

  10. I'll just timestamp my way through this one I think. I love CR and that they're goofballs, but 'haha randumb orgy because bad guys are here' is a step too far for me lol. Not to mention they could have just opted to not be sent back to the basement.
