Betfair Chase 2021 | Tips & Betting Preview with Andy Holding, Ed Quigley & Barry Geraghty

Host George Elek is joined by oddschecker’s Andy Holding and racing journalist Ed Quigley to preview this weekend’s action at Haydock and Ascot.

The highlight of the weekend comes from Haydock, where the Betfair Chase takes centre stage. Our experts discuss their thoughts on the big race, as well as the rest of Saturday’s card and two Grade 2 contests over at Ascot. Plus, George chats to 888sport ambassador Barry Geraghty, getting his thoughts on last week’s stars and who to look out for in the Betfair Chase.

  1. One thing about this show "Oddschecker", people you do realise these tipsters are working for the bookmakers. Just take a look at the tips they have mentioned…. Most have lost. Champion Green "horse to follow" lost 3 times since, pulled up after only jumping 2 fences. The latest tip that's gone the way of another loser. Please don't listen to these tipsters and use your own fancies.

  2. Early morning rain? Ed needs to be replaced from this fast. I can’t skip through his dribble fast enough.

  3. Anyone that thinks My Drogo jumped the fence fine at the weekend needs to go and listen to Ruby Walsh on the Road To Cheltenham podcast who explains thoroughly why My Drogo fell as he didnt get quite high enough and went into the fence with his knees hitting hit.Agree with Andy Holding with regards Rightplacerightime i backed him earlier in the week as well for this,he carried 12 stone on his last start over 3 miles over fences in a decent time and now reverts to hurdles with less than 10 stone on his back with the claimer taking weight off him.The danger i thought was Flight Deck though, they would be my two selections.
