Betfair Tennis Trading – Lay 1st Set Winner Strategy

This video is a solid easy tennis trading strategy that anybody whether new or old to betfair exchange trading can use. #Betfairtrading #Tennistrading

Have you ever wanted a simple to follow tennis strategy?

Yes? Ok so in this video I am going to be discussing just that, I am Ryan Carruthers the founder of BTC and I have been tennis trading for over 7 years.

I know a lot of people when they want to start trading on the tennis are stuck, they don’t know the players, they dont know a strategy well in this video I am going to debunk all those fears, I have been there struggling on tennis – backing the wrong player, getting in at the wrong point basically messing it up!

But I have gone through that and I will explain a really simple strategy that anybody can follow…. You dont need any knowledge of players either!

Are you ready?

First things first the aim of this strategy is the lay the first set winner, so our entry point is at the end of the first set…..

The selection is the person who has won the first set – we shall place a lay on them, their odds will be lower which gives us a lower risk entry point….

Then we constantly assess how they start the second set…. If they lose the first couple of points – assess, how do they look? Are they all over the place, how are they returning the ball? If they are picking this up get out and take your profit… if they aren’t then hold out a little bit, wait for them to lose the first game then you can get out

I know what you are thinking here though – what do I do if it all goes against me? Don’t panic! You have laid the 1st set winner at a very low price so your risk is very low, if the player you have laid comes out flying then you can trade out for a loss and move onto the next game.

Think this won’t happen in many games? Head over the flash score – go through the results for the last few days and see how many players have won the first set then started slow in the 2nd set?

Thoughts on why players start slower in the second set
Effort in S1
Sometimes players take a while to warm up
Sometimes players write off a losing set to conserve energy for S2 as to come back from a huge deficit would take a lot of energy out of them
Injury…

  1. With BTC software, can we select match with filter stat such as: looking for match when player is favorite but not good server and good break converting (as an example)

  2. You got anything for the horse racing mate laying first most probably a weak favorite swing or in play

  3. Do you need to take into account whether the player you have laid is serving first in the second set…? If you need player B to win that initial game, should they be serving first or do the ticks not move as much as they're expected to win on serve?

  4. Cheers for this, I have been researching "tennis betting markets explained" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of – Aiyenjamin Prefatory Approach – (do a google search ) ? It is an awesome one off guide for discovering how to get a unique tennis betting formula minus the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my brother in law got excellent results with it.

  5. Hello Ryan, you said something about the 3-3, 4-4 strategy. Can you make a video about it?

  6. Hey I just have a question. I m a big amator and was just asking if we can bet some really small wages(like not more than 10 euros) on exchange fair?

  7. How about backing 1.01 's on football matches backing under the current amount of goals right at the end of the game and trying to steal a profit its all about timing so when there is a goal kick and they have say gone already 2 minutes overtime of the minutes added on, back 1.01 before they take the goal kick and once the ball is in midair you listen out for the whistle if they don't blow it you quickly lay it off for the smallest loss you can get i got a 1.02 in doing that once and took absolutely no risk whatsoever it was blew when he took the goal kick i only made 0.09 p cause i worry about losing to much money.Well its just a thought it all depends how much the lay price moves against you if they don't blow after the goal kick its not a great bet but its not a bad idea you have to be quick laying it though.

  8. Great video Ryan, thanks. You mention another tennis strategy video, 3-3, 4-4. Do you have a link to this yet? Would be interested to find out more. Thanks!

  9. Useless strategy if the opportunity never comes. I mean you work for free and spend time for nothing. If you start look on first set and player b is shit and loose first set your an idiot if you lay the winner of first set because player b has play shit! So no bet there and you have wasted your time when you could be on a gym and built biceps..

  10. You say u are trading tennis since 7 yrs ago, can u make a living out of it ? Do u get ur 10-15% a month from it ?

  11. Found this quite interesting. Thanks for the idea. Never traded tennis in my life though. My FIRST thought process though is, do the miniscule amounts you win from the winning trades (cashing out after a one game swing) add up to enough to counteract the times you get it completely wrong? Same question for every single trade in any sport that is made to 'sound' easy but in theory doesn't add up. People cash out after a goal when they've backed +1.5 goals but only make 15%, then go and lose 70% on a losing trade. Be keen to see if this proves any different, especially when I have no knowledge of tennis whatsoever, apart from the rules.
