When Betfair trading you are typically looking for a set-up to get you into the market.
This will be based on a number of factors, but I have shown many different types of trade set-ups you can use.
In this video, I show two similar set-ups where I am looking for a bounce. One works and one doesn’t.
But the important thing about both trades is that I have got in at roughly the right point in the market where I give myself the opportunity to profit, but where the potential for a loss is lower.
I also reference this video, where I talk about crossover points and their significance.

Hi Peter.
Would the same approach work in Forex markets ? (crossover points )
Hi peter , i need to automate a back and lay bet at specific prices , which would be the best way to go. cheers
It is probably more important produce videos showing how to clean up a losing position. like this, as it is having those showing how to trade. How about a video showing how to clean up a lay the field position where you're trying to lay at the back price but don't get the whole field matched.
hi, how do you manage 5-10 tick movement shoot against you instantly?
which happened 5 times tonight
Hi Peter, Are you running any of your courses anytime soon? Some first hand coaching would be really useful
Thanks for the vid Pete, your loss was well explained and it was good to see you stick to your guns to see it out to when you felt you needed to close the trade. Some people would have dipped out for a small profit when available
Nice Charts… who ever replicated the BF chart is a genius 😉😉😉
Thanks for the GOOD advice all! I guess my main problem, is that I'm trying desperately to recoup the money that – whilst starting as a REAL novice – I 'lent' to the markets!
Peter, does my statement make you feel guilty? LOL 😉 😉 😉
I think the support for russian diamond was the fact it was a strong front runner and was lining up that way
Fantastic video. I have used this technique by trying to find the bottom of a ranging market and laying at crossover point when back money looks thin. I would emphasise that money management and not over exposing yourself is important you should only be risking a small fraction your bank
Great content altough the liquidity (or lack of) is clearly visible which is a shame.
Very useful to see and hear your thoughts Peter, thank you.
Great reminder 👍🏼Profitability simplified .
The entry will Support your gains when winning , while the exit resist your losses when loosing .
One could set up a green up with a stop loss at equal number of ticks away from the crossover points . And as shown in here , should give a positive outcome when implemented at highly liquid market that’s probably why you choose to trade from 5 mins out.
Question is ? How many people are willing to do such a simple trade and keep on doing it until they master it ?
Other opportunities spring up and they forget about the simple stuff .
Really loved this video nicely explained and clear understanding of whats happening at what point.
The hardest part for me is always getting out correctly without making mistakes – I needed this!
Thank you Peter 🙂
You are a master 👏👏👏
Great video again ! I've always wondered how you dump your positions with those £1000 stakes, I suppose stop losses are pretty ineffective with bigger positions.
Also, what type of risk/reward do you achieve when trading pre off?
Very helpful video! Great idea to show those 2 side by side. In many ways it's much more helpful than seeing several similar, but successful trades. Thank you.
As someone who STILL struggles to stop going inplay/chasing my losses, may I just say that as ever, your videos are most informative and much appreciated! Now, if only I could find a way to absolutely GUARANTEE that I won't go inplay, or chase my losses, then I reckon I'd sleep a lot easier at night….
Hi Peter, do you think the £500 lose limit will destroy the exchange? Great content as always
In the 2nd market why did you choose the fav as in other videos you suggest to trade at a higher price ie the 2fav to gain a greater return, also the 2fav was at the bottom of its range and a potential crossover above.
Clear, concise and well explained 10/10
Excellent but you've never done a proper video on advanced charting and what you personally find the most useful.
