1. When you say double the volume weighted average for your stake do you mean total stake, as then do you split that stake into say 4 smaller stakes to get a good average entry

7. Good advice regarding your closing position. I'd like to add, if I may, that it will always to easier to close trades when the odds are under 3 or 4 as there seems to be higher liquidity in those ticks. As always, look to close your position if it goes the wrong way. Dont sit there hoping it will come back, it might just get worse. Always use Risk Management maximum of 2% of your bank in any trade.

8. As always your generalisation of optimal staking theory is excellent. Would you think it reasonable, if by abstract chance, i was able to take an annual profit that i may apply something like the Kelly Criterion to determining my daily 'risk' capital … ? I know that the HK teams never bet more than 0.015 (generally) of the parimutuel pools otherwise they are only winning their own money back again. Are there any guidelines for Betfair?

10. I use a different size depending on the liquidity of the race. Where you can go for $ 500 the market will not feel, in another place you are rolled up to the height or to the bottom for this money.
