  1. Does the e46 or 330i/ci have an eccentric shaft sensor on all models or does the camshaft position sensor function in the same capacity? I have been looking for the location of the eccentric shaft sensor on my engine and can’t seem to find it… I haven’t opened the valves yet, and really want avoid it unless I know for a fact that it has that part… the reason I ask is when I go online to search the part the camshaft position sensor keeps popping up, and when I find an e46 eccentric shaft sensor I can’t find one compatible with my 330ci…only the 330i…. I don’t want to go off buying a part that I don’t need and opening a part of the engine I don’t need to…

  2. So I replaced mine because my 02 325i was intermittently turning off while driving after a while. Rough idle and would shut off at idle and all the other symptoms for a camshaft sensor. So I replaced it with the thicker one like in the video. Mine came with the one you had too (thinner). And was still giving me the same code. So I'm gonna replace it with a replacement and hope it was the design or a faulty part. Will update when I find out……… code was p0340 only.

  3. I love your channel and I admire your knowledge, but from experience none of those engines tolerate the aftermarket camshaft sensors. They just don’t last very long. It’s always better to spend a little more and buy the genuine position sensor from BMW. I just replaced mine and it cost me around 118€ here in Germany 🙂

  4. NEED HELP!!! He man, love your videos. On my 04 325i I keep getting getting (27b5 Inlet camshaft activation) fault….Any ideas? 💡I Replaced (Exhaust Cam Sensor) but not (Intake Cam Sensor) or (VANOS Solenoids) yet. Thx.

  5. For All, Never buy Meyle or else, always from HELLA, BMW buying this Sensors from HELLA and putting there BMW Logo and sell for high money, only HELLA Sensors the Rest are Bad, if you Lucky it work Bit of Time and you buy again new one

Greetings from Germany, like your Videos ❤

  6. Changed the CPS, before it was idling way too high . Now the idle is slow to drop to almost normal but Im getting the 404 code. The car is running good other than that

  7. i have a 2002 bmw 325i with a p0340 intake cam position sensor code. i went ahead and changed it and still the same. i changed all three senors, both cam and the one crank position sensor. STILL P0340!!!!!!!!. i have tested all sensors and connectors and getting all the proper voltage. STILL P0340!!!!!!!!

  8. I replaced my camshaft position sensor as per your video and connected everything back together. Now I get the code P1519. Any idea what could that be? The car drives fine, does not stall, no loss of power. Initially I did the sensor because I was getting P0340 however the car was performing fine with just an occasional harder start, I would have to turn it a bit longer.
