The in-game start date for the episode was Sydenstar 17 in the year 843. Sam’s gas can initially says “Hey Chat” and later “Let’s Play” after which the episode ends before we figure out exactly what that means.

The movie Prey is so incredibly good. You don’t need to know anything about Predator, I certainly didn’t, but it made me immediately want to watch more. It’s so good.

Any moments I missed? Feel free to post them here. Is it Thursday yet?

  2. This episode hit way close to home. Its been a week so spoilers for those who somehow haven't watched it yet but the Neglectful relationship between Fearne and her parents… My father was and is a similar way… Except I really never got an apology… When he came back into the picture he hardly acknowledged his wrong doing… In fact he was somehow worse in the picture than he was out of it. I mean not to trauma dump, I just wanted to say That I might not be able to watch a few episodes… Nothing against you all… Just a bit close for comfort… Im sorry.

  3. As Marisha said, a lot of stuff kicks off around episode 30. In Vox Machina episode 30 is the start of Scanbo, the first real big episode in Whitestone in the briarwood arc (and also the episode with the announcement of the leaving of Orion), and episiode 31 is the remainder of Scanbo for the most part. In the Mighty Nein campaign, episode 30 is the first episode with Travis and Laura returning from parent hood and the first introduction of the Gentleman (way before the start of the pirate arc much less the end of it) and episode 31 gives us Nott buying things to send to her secret family, Caleb's transmuter stone, AND Fjord telling the group about Sabien. SO 10000% the 30s is where the campaigns get some really fun kick offs.

  4. When the advantage line came up, I was really hoping Liam or Sam would jump in saying they get advantage on every roll.

  5. fantastic, trully fantastic to the whole critical role crew, i'm a young dungeon master and your work does nothing but inspire me day after day, just love you guys keep going tigers!

  6. I'm watching this while a huge thunderstorm goes off, its making it so stressful and eerie and its just awesome

  7. As someone with mental illness who has rage issues, related to trauma, after a rage spell you can forget it. It's probably a defense mechanism, it isn't instant and it isn't fully, but afterwards you can just genuinely forget about it. It's kinda like you are forgetting trauma part of which you did to yourself. And being angry, or heightened emotion of any kind, will lower the functioning of the rational part of your brain. Emotions are designed to compel action and compel it quickly. Multiply that to the power of magic and crazy Pre-Calamity magitech construct and all of this makes some sharp sense.
Kinda saw it coming as to what actually happened with Dancer and the rest of them.

  8. U know what i love to see, even knowing that matt separate the campaigns a part eachother? See a crossover when someone from the M9 or VM shows up and helps them, that would be epic ASF!!!

  9. best episode of the campaign so far!

    Major plot threads getting tugged.
Orym and Imogen heart to heart
    Fearne reconciling with her folks.
    Letters contacting Dancer finally.
    FCG SNAPPING
PVP! I was feeling Travis's vibe the whole time: "I'm such a happy bitch!" haha
    Laudna SNAPPING
Ashton delivers a "fuck"-filled inspirational speech
    FCG past revealed.
ORYM stands up and gets inspirational. Yes!
    Group reconciles and comes together.

The rye chuckle from Imogen around 3:18:23 had me rolling 🤣

3:51:00 Marisha thinking the same thing as me, it's always right around episode 30 where shit starts to get REAL.
