Building Your Own 24/7 Betting Bot (Using A Raspberry Pi – Episode #2)

Everything is running smoothly in Episode #2 of building your own 24/7 betting bot.

Please make sure you head to to vote on which betting bot software you’d like to see me install for our betting bot.

A few lessons have been learned:

1) You will need a Windows computer, USB Mouse and USB keyboard to setup your Raspberry Pi.

2) You will need a Micro HDMI display cable, the other end should be VGA or DVI whatever your monitor takes. Make sure to get a Micro HDMI and not a Mini HDMI cable (I made that mistake!)

3) You will need an ethernet cable.

4) We will be using RealVNC to connect to your Raspberry Pi. You can get the 30 day trial at and it’s £2.59 per month afterwards for the Professional version (which is the one you need). They have very good instructions on setting it up, however you put their VNC Server software on your Raspberry Pi and their VNC Viewer software on any device you want to connect to your Raspberry Pi.

5) When your Raspberry Pi is setup, you will need to move it to your router. Unplug it and plug it directly into your router. You will then need to attach a monitor, keyboard and mouse temporarily to login to windows. Once you are logged into windows RealVNC will be able to connect forever (unless you lose the internet or the Raspberry Pi power goes, in which case you will need to login to Windows again before it will re-connect)

To setup the Raspberry Pi, follow the step-by-step instructions by keeps-video at

Do what he is saying as you watch the video, it works quite simply and takes about an hour to setup (maybe longer if you’re not tech savvy). If you get stuck, ask him (or me) a question. Although you may be better asking him as he’s a Raspberry Pi expert.
