14. My first full-odds shiny in Violet was Mareep. Unfortunately, I wasted a Master Ball on a non-shiny Mareep before I caught the shiny.

15. 10 months late but Fun Fact: Pokemon SVs Surprise Trade actually prevents you from trading away legendaries. Attempting to do so will give you the message "This Pokemon is too special to give away"

    You can still trade away legendaries in the normal Link Trades though, definitely so that a friend or separate console with the other game can help you complete the Pokedex
