  1. Yeah, but he was supposed to wait and sign during the summer. He kind of forced the trade, and Knicks owner (James Dolan) panicked; made the GM give up way too much to get it done. Melo wasn't signing anywhere else. You hear it in this clip.

  2. I like Melo and no disrespect to his life that being said had Melo decided to stay with the Nuggets as none of the guys he mentioned was going to last he would probably got at least 1 in considering who they got later.

  3. 20 years in the league
Made it past the 1st round twice

Most overrated losing player of all time

  4. Get another coach in Denver besides George Karl that could handle Melo’s personality better and you have more than a WCF appearance

  5. As a Knicks fan, I can honestly say that trade set us back 15 years. Melo or Smello as I call him, came into camp in shape exactly 1 time as a Knick and when he was injured and the whole Linsanity thing popped off, his fragile ego couldn't handle it so he chased Lin out of NY.
I'm glad Smello will retire without a ring. He never put in the work to deserve one and I base that on the 1 good year he had with NY when he was one of the best low post defenders in the league. He'll always be a lazy player that couldn't be bothered to take his conditioning seriously till he was out of the league and his legacy in NY will always be how his shooting percentage went down quarter by quarter and what a non existent clutch player he was.
If Smello is one of your favorite players, you're the guy in the park that remembers when you put that nasty move on someone and broke their ankles but you forgot you lost that game.

  6. I don't care what the team is right now, playing in and for New York must be one of the greatest feelings ever. MSG full, iconic Knicks uniforms… if there's a franchise with pull it should be NY

  7. Still sick Melo could've been a Piston but they signed Darko he would've had a ring his rookie year 🤦🏾‍♂️

  8. Had better team management in Denver.. beside that big contract you took kept the Knicks in rebuild mode👀 KNICKS cut his potential big time.. George Carl is one of best coaches of all time compared to Dantoni

  9. Fuck outta here he definitely wanted to leave. The summer before he was traded he got married in NY. He definitely wanted to play for the Knickerbockers
