The official music video for Chris Stapleton’s “Starting Over”

Listen to ‘Starting Over’ out now –

Listen to Chris Stapleton’s latest music:

Well the road rolls out like a welcome mat
To a better place than the one we’re at
And I ain’t got no kind of plan
But I’ve had all of this town I can stand
And I got friends out on the coast
We could jump in the water and see what floats
And we been saving for a rainy day
Let’s beat the storm and be on our way
And it don’t matter to me
Wherever we are is where I want to be
And honey for once in our lives
Let’s take our chances and roll the dice
And I can be your lucky penny
You can be my four leaf clover
Starting over

  1. Thank you for bringing back what we have lost over the years in Country music! God bless you for helping Eastern Kentucky, we all appreciate you Chris!

  2. My mother-in-law turned me on to Chris Stapleton a few months ago. I was doing her hospice care in March and April and THIS song was playing when she died. It's so 'her', too. It will be forever branded in my brain and on my heart.

  3. This guy always comes on my Johnny Cash Pandora station at work, and I always thumbs down his songs, his voice grates I find it awful! Obviously, he has a lot of success but I can't stand his voice!

  4. Listen and watched this song/ saw it live over the last year a thousand times. It just took me till today to fully taks it all in and aappreciate every aspect of the video. I can see your story with out even knowing you guys are pure magic in this there are no words

  5. Lost my husband almost a year ago this month and it’s been a hell of a journey without him raising our three sons alone. ❤️

  6. Right now, Chris Stapleton is in Eastern Ky, he’s hometown area. He’s shoveling mud, helping clean debris, elbow to elbow helping people clean and supplying food and drink. Ravaging Flood that hit our area last week. 35+ found dead. 1000 year flood hit like a thief in the middle of the night. He’s one of the good ones. I can’t say enough about the respect I have for him. He loves this area. Just like he gives it all in his music, he’s doing the same here. Eastern Ky loves our native son.

This might not be an easy time
There's rivers to cross and hills to climb
And some days we might fall apart
And some nights might feel cold and dark

But nobody wins afraid of losing
And the hard roads are the ones worth choosing
Some day we'll look back and smile
And know it was worth every mile

And it don't matter to me

  8. Chris, let's try to make more verses and less repetitive chorus' & hooks…. I get that it makes it easier to have fans sing along but I crave a song with more sustenance…. Like "Maggies Song". That's a ballad everyone can appreciate

  9. Such a tremendous man. Please read how he's offering aide to Kentucky residents dealing with recent flooding. What an amazing artist and truly a gift of a human to us all. The world sees you Chris and we're grateful

  10. I’m trying to start over after suddenly losing my wife of 30 years 4 months ago. We were together for 35 wonderful years. I’ve never known such pain . Some regrets,we always seemed to put things off , kids university tuition , fixing old vehicles, home repairs . This song reminds me of her and hurts but it’s hopeful message keeps me going. Thanks

  11. Me to my future and life travelling. Time to move on… Looking forward to meeting the guy who will be my forever in this life. Like this song to re-start my life all over again. Love the song and walking on with God as my protector as always.

  13. It wasn't until I was driving one day and listened to these lyrics and realized how much they resonate with me.. my fiancée and I went through a lot of difficult circumstances together and then finally moved away to a new state and i never really saw it as a starting over until the day this song really clicked in my head. I was instantly an emotional mess and now feel deeply connected to this song. Chris Stapleton is incredibly talented.

  14. I'm not even into country music but after I heard this at the end of that new movie with Channing Tatum called "DOG" I instantly fell in love with his song. Resonates so much with me 🙌

  15. A person very special to me said, “there is better music in heaven”! I can’t imagine better music than CS belts out, so I will take “heaven on earth”, and keep fulfilling my obsession, 24/7! Sing on genius!
