  1. You know what i find the MOST dissappointing and frustrating? Everytime an ally AGREES they got something wrong and holds themselves to a higher standard and apologises for their words and actions; all the top comments and thumbsups are from people saying they did nothing wrong and that a lower standard is "fine" because they're "a good person that means well". How about the people that should stfu is all those advocates for the devil that flood the replies.

Being a good Ally is doing exactly what adam and Jessie said right here, "we fucked up, we made comments and comparisons to things that were wrong and sounded incredibly bad. we will do better.". The comparisons and comments that were made were harmful and sounded exactly like they came from a TERF handbook somewhere, frankly during PRIDE MONTH and in a polotical climate where trans people are targets of extreme policies to limit their ability to live they were insensitive at best.

I'm glad that Adam and Jessie are open minded enough to understand why what they said was wrong, and humble enough to apologise in a forthright upfront manner and to pledge to do better. that's all we can ask and they stepped up to the plate and did exactly that.

Peoples "intentions" don't deminish the harm they can cause when they screw up that hard. It's a cliche but "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" so how about when someone makes an ignorant statement and that gets pointed out, how about people don't dive like a bodyguard in front of that bullet and express a desire for the status quo instead of improvement and better in the future.

  2. thanks for all of the betting information and new betting segment. the odds of me not watching you guys anymore: 100%.

thank heavens for The Hockey Guy and Hockey Nation Live. Hope Knoxy and Kax won't have to shill for their podcast.

  3. Let this be a lesson- stick to hockey, always stick to hockey. You cannot please the woke mob even with the best intentions.

  4. Can you guys just talk about hockey. I hate having to skip so much fifteen minute chunks cause you're social justice warriors. If you don't want me to watch your podcast I won't then jeez

  5. There was nothing wrong with what adam said. A majority of the comments were positive, meaning a majority of people understood his message. For those that didn't, that's a them problem. Stop pandering to the simple minded, it's just annoying at this point. We know you're a good person, you don't have to keep convincing us.

  6. When will ya'll learn? Nothing you say will ever be good enough. The people upset about this don't want "equality" they want power and control over you, plus "revenge" for the past. White/straight people will never not be a problem in their eyes.

  7. Just come on the podcast and whip yourself in the back next time. It would be much more entertaining at least.

How can one person have so much white guilt?

  8. The first 8 minutes are rough, no reason to apologize for anything there. Maybe clarify but like wtf, seems like these people are the vocal minority.

  9. When the cancellers suddenly find themselves in a position to be cancelled – boy does the panic set in. Almost funny except it just shows how far society has fallen. People are not allowed to make mistakes anymore or are not allowed to grow and learn from mistakes made. Just remember Adam, I have heard you say many times "that apology means nothing to me". Well now you are doing the same apology that you criticize others for.

  10. Currently just over 6 min in and went from a loyal listener to now unsubbing.. Anyone that thinks you guys are anti LGBT+ are not true fans. Kowtowing to the alphabet mafia never works as they will always find a way to get upset (as that is what gives them power). Cheers guys, wish you all the best.

  11. Glad to see the woke mob silenced Adam. Learned a bunch of cool stories during BHM and now won’t hear any during Pride. One step forward two steps….

  12. That was very well handled.

I personally don't believe for a second Adam would purposefully offend anyone, all 3 of these dudes are just some of the most wholesome guys in media, he made his sincere apology and reaffirmed his commitment to being a person accepting of everyone, he's a good man. I hope the public sees it this way too

  13. So I actually did end up listening to this whole show today and I just want to know what has happened to this show? It used to be so good now it’s just awful. Jesse is super annoying and painfully unfunny. There are WAY too many advertisements and the whole podcast has just become this overly woke/p.c. nightmare. I’m all for representation but not when I’m am being beaten over the head with it. I’m still done. Never listening again. Still wish everyone the best

  14. As a queer person, and a fan of this podcast, I was so excited for these profiles because you guys occupy such a heteronormative space and we need these queer stories to be elevated in this space. I’m sad to hear that you’re ending the profiles but I do hope you have queer voices on here to speak because we need more of these conversations in sport spaces. Appreciate you folks so much. 🌈✨

  15. As other people have said, I'm also a member of the queer community, and I feel like as long as you are willing to learn when you get things wrong, you should be able to speak about things. Apparently you won't ever be able to stop some people in our community from overreacting, but know that there are people out there who support you as long as you're able to learn.

  16. >do your own homework
    >your homework wasn't perfect
    >rabble rabble

You're a good guy Adam. Intention matters and folks coming after you are likely doing it in bad faith, not in conversation or education.

  17. As an Oiler, it'll be sad to go out now and being dominated by the Avs, but it is what it is.

Now they're leading the series 3 to zip, I think we'll win the next home game but lose the 5th on the road.

IF that does happen and the AVS go on to the Final, I hope they go on to win it all. Makar defending VS McDavid (even if he's injured slightly) was stupendous.

I'm excited for next season having a full year under Woodcroft. Could even go all the way?

  18. I redpect Adam's decision to apologise for what was said in the last Pod, but this is how evil people win.

there's a quote from the Holocaust about how no one spoke up for the jews, thinking they were safe but then the Nazis turned their evil plans towards that group. Adam IS AN ALLY. He's doing more than most to TRY to raise awareness of the LGBTQ+ community.

Give the guy a break! He's well meaning. dont silence good people

  19. I think the rangers were the biggest underdog to make it to the final there’s a chance they could sweep Tampa who would have predicted that if the rangers win the cup that would be the best thing for the nhl

  20. Leon and McDavid are playing injured and probably a few other guys to especially mike smith we will see in the exit interviews who was playing injured but I’m not mad bc the oilers had a amazing season I know they will be back to the western conference final again next year
