Geeks Toy Trading Software Video Review (for Betfair, Betdaq & Matchbook)

Endless questions about the Geeks Toy trading software (for Betfair) seem to come my way. I try to answer all of them, but it’s not quite possible at times. This is why we’ve put together this quick Geeks Toy video review…

If you’re looking at using the Geeks Toy software, I wouldn’t deter you. It’s a great bit of kit for trading Betfair. The interface is smooth, functionality is simple and the price is extremely low in comparison to other Betfair trading software.

For a fuller written review you can visit search the blog. Enjoy…

  1. Football/Soccer is the most widely watched and played sport in the world. Why would you try to explain this software with horse racing which most people won't do?

  2. My geeks toy traded volume bars at the top box is two times taller than yours somehow, taking up space. Don't know how to make the same size as yours. I just googled answer "Right click the ladder header, then choose "Ladder Layout" followed by "Streaming Chart Height"

  3. Hi Caan! I've been watching your content for a while now, wanted to say thanks. Also, how do you think trading the pre-race stacks up to the learning curve of day-trading traditional financial markets?

I've been daytrading crypto/FX a bit, and would love to get into pre-race on a saturday for fun, but have a feeling it will be just as challenging, if not more challenging than swing trading financial markets. Will it likely still take a long learning curve for me to become profitable? Or, taking risk management & psychology I've learned from trading these other markets (I can calmly take a loss when needed) will I have a faster time getting the hang of this? ( know that's a very tough question to answer 😉

I'm really into scalping, so I'd love to get good at scalping the pre race for a pre-defined risk/reward with rules etc. Just wonder how tough it can be. I'll make a free trial account on GeeksToy and get to it! All the best mate!

  4. im fairly new to exchange betting/laying and i have been tinkering with a few ideas and i am wanting to know if its possible to set it up to automatically to lay any un-named 3rd fav in the betting as long as they are priced 7.00 or lower, say 10 seconds before the off time of the race

  5. Hi Caan. GeeksToy is the best! 😀 I noticed something in your video and I wanted to ask, you don't use "stream prices" function? I saw your refresh rate oscillating and with "stream prices" activated it stays always at "1" that number. Which is better? I thought with stream prices it's faster. Good review! 🙂

  6. Hi Caan, on BA if you do a back to then lay in play you can do it by number of ticks or by % is this available on Geeks toy also?

  7. Hi Caan, what API settings would you recommend as optimal for 'in-play' trading on horse markets? Thank you.

  8. Hi caan, on the price/volume over time graph the price is on the left and the volume on the right , but where is the time scale ? Surely it would benefit us more if they put a time scale at the bottom of the graph. ( or is this the reason why it's not there ) .
