goCoax MoCA 2.5 Adapter Turn your coax to ethernet

I wanted a way to hard wire rooms without the need to run ethernet to each room, these were super simple to use and only took connecting it for it to work.

  1. Maybe you could help me. My apartment complex comes with free cable tv, and one of my friends told me about using the Coax cable to get Ethernet. So I looked it up and saw I needed the MoCa adapter.

  2. Hey, this video is really helpful, I just had one question. So, wifi is connected to my tv through a coax cable. I'm getting my pc soon and I know I need 2 adapters one to connect the router to the wall and the other to connect the wall in my room to my pc. If I do this, will I need to buy another adapter to connect the wall to the tv? or can I just leave it with the coax cable?

  3. Ok so I have a coax connection in my room however I dont know where that coax connection is coming from. I have a ONT with translates fiber connection to electrical connections and that is connected to my router with an ethernet cable. Where does the first Moca adapter fit into this? Would I put the Moca adapter Coax cable connection to the ONT? because I see a Coax connection on my ONT, and then would I connect the 1st adapter and Router with Rj45 connection?
And for my room with the 2nd adapter, would I just connect the 2nd adapter with a coax and then use the ethernet cable to my pc?

  4. Will it still work if I order just one of those adapters if I’m only connecting one device in the house that requires Ethernet connection only if there’s no way on running an Ethernet wire from the router like IP cameras which is Powered over Ethernet (PoE)?

  5. Thanks so much for your video. May I ask something?
1/ I use Coaxial cable 75 Ohm, RG6, 112 copper cores. Would this adapter work for my cable? How to ensure if the cable at my house is possible for Moca ? Since the price of the device is pretty tough, I'm so nervous if it doesn't meet my expectation.
2/ As I understand: For instance, if we have 6 rooms with 6 separate coaxial cables, Does it mean that we need to have at least 2 Moca adapters: 1 for the switch which gathers totally 6 cables, another 1 for the room I'm gonna use for ethernet? Well, if so, I think we need more than just 2 Moca because there are many rooms which are in use simultaneously in my house. However, the price of most of the Moca devices isn't that affordable.
    Thanks and best wishes.

  6. Hey man, great video! I was hoping you could answer some of my questions that I can’t seem to find answers on. I have a coax outlet in my room that is being set up by a technician tomorrow. I want to get Ethernet for my computer in my room. So what I’m
Understanding is I connect a coax coord into the coax outlet, then to the mocha, then Ethernet from mocha to pc. Now where I’m confused on is my router is currently plugged into the coax input in my upstairs office room directly, so for my other mocha that will be connected to the router, do I need to get a splitter to plug the mocha & the router into the splitter , then to the coax output? I saw someone say that it would be coax output-coax cable- mocha-then router plugged into mocha via Ethernet, But then the coax cable is not in the router directly and rather into the mocha first. Is that correct? Sorry for so many questions I just can’t find these answers anywhere! Thank you.

  7. Hi Jake, Our main living room is where we locate our router. If we have 2 moca adaptors, One for the other room, the living room will be connected to the moca adaptor through to the router. Will this connection recirculate back to the other room where the moca adaptor is connected ? I hope this provides some clarity to what I'm planning to do. Appreciate your comments. Thanks.

  8. I used to have my router in my room with the Wi-Fi box there as well. I had my pc directly connected from Ethernet but now I recently moved it to the other room for internet connection issues in other rooms. Would this work with the coax cable in my room? How can I use my cable wire for An Ethernet connection
