Be aware that Betfair trading is a form of Gambling / Betting and that you could lose money. Therefore, only Gamble what you can afford to lose. It’s no guarantee of success and requires skill, discipline and hard work. It is not a shortcut to riches and shouldn’t be treated as such.

  1. Excellent video Peter, always enjoy watching your videos.

I did laugh when you said “I picked up the racing post and it made even less sense” 😂 you’re absolutely spot on.

My wife once flicked through the paper and she said what the hell is all this nonsense, are they talking in cryptic code 😂😂

  2. Very good stuff Peter. I've always been fascinated by what you can now achieve with technology etc and some application of time and effort.. the problem, that most avoid mentioning is that now we have the premium charge, to earn £1m in 'net profit' means over £2m in gross profit to allow for the huge percentage they take.

  3. Happy New Year Peter, I have followed your journey for many years now, I have a good career and although I don’t scalp, I Dutch the win and place markets on the exchange and do ok with it, what I mean is I pay for holidays etc with the winnings, no time for the full time effort it would take to be a full time scalper as I have a well paid job, Keep up the good work and all the best for 2024 👍🏻

  4. Happy new year Peter and another inspiring video. I’m curious to how you deal with the wild swings in prices at the 2 minutes to the off mark. I have been trying to learn to read for 3 years now, not very successfully. I always seem to be on the wrong side of whatever happens at 2 minutes. I know the simple solution is to be out before that but there’s quite often nothing happening before it or not enough liquidity to trade. Do you just trade through it as normal or do you exit before?

  5. Whilst the amount you ve made on betfair trading is really impressive, it’s completely unrealistic to say it can still be done. I keep reading over and over again that the only people who make money now are the big traders. It’s virtually impossible for people new to trading to make any sort of profit at all. Obviously you want to perpetuate the myth that it’s still possible so people will buy your software, but really you re just taking advantage of idiots who actually think that they can compete on the markets and make thousands per week. It’s bullshit. You, and a handful of other traders probably do make a lot of money but I doubt anyone does on a consistent basis.

  6. Happy New year Peter i think you are a genius, i tend to stick to my specialist sport in football making modest profits each year since i started in 2004 and know a tiny bit about horse racing since i started, just from a knowledge point of view and not a trading view how did you go about learning about everything in horse racing as i would like to have a good depth of knowledge about this sport for which i know so little.

  7. A million on betting on horse racing?:))))) Hard to believe. What was your starting budget? Did you bet only on exchange?

  8. These days you need a huge bankroll, strict discipline and just scalp a couple of ticks here and there. The markets aren't as predictable as they once were.

  9. Well done for achieving your Goals and believing in what you wanted to do!!!! You are an inspiration to us all…A sentence I've taken from this video is…."Positive minds find opportunities, negative ones find problems" very true in life.
    Thank you Peter.

  10. Many years ago i somewhere heard or read about Edward Thorpe & his book beat the dealer & i read it & thought it was brilliant. It is what you would call an easy system to learn but i couldnt learn it for a number of reasons. But it got my interest in possible betting where ive never had any interest in it before that. I told a friend of mine about it & he read it & it worked for him & he got banned from playing blackjack in a couple of uk casinos. I then somewhere saw about betting exchanges & betting on horses to lose & you would win. Well i just didnt understand it at all. I saw a guy doing trading on betfair & he started with £200 & in 3 years turned it into i think it was £100,000 & i thought wow just using £2 bets. Now i started betting ( laying ) on Betfair around that time not knowing anything at all. I got my bank up to somewhere near £30,000. & one day i ruined it all. It was a saturday & my wife wanted me to do something but i would miss my betting. I wanted my daily profits & did the most stupid thing anyone could do. In making that money i started off laying using just £2 bets & in some races i would lay multiple horses but always the fav. That fateful day i bet £500 on the fav to lose, he won, so now i wanted to win back my losses plus £500 profit, so it was the next fav, he won, the same with the 3rd race the fav won, now i think they had all been either odds on or very low priced favs & in the 4th race i was too scared to lay the fav & i layed a 9.1 shot & he won & it wiped me out. Why i didnt just go with £100 to start & increase it by £100 in each race i dont know & or why i didnt have the courage to stay with the fav as i had religiously done up to this time, but i did neither & lost the lot. Ive tried to learn trading but i just cant get it right at all. I remember Peter coming on one of your courses & i thought it was brilliant, though i knew nothing about racing & i was lost from start to finish & i told my friend ( the one who had learned card counting ) to go on your course as he would have learned it & im sure made it work for him but for some reason he didnt go on the course. I love your videos & im sure they halp hundreds of people. You have to be good at learning & sadly i was never that but good luck to you all who are & try this. & happy new year to you Peter & all your family you are a good honest decent man. & you deserve all the financial rewards you have received through all your hard work. To all of you punters take care & dont be stupid as i was, good luck to you all.

  11. Congratulation
    So the question is ?
When you won a million did you need luck or you only need a strategy and a good plan
What I am trying to say is to make a million do you need to be lucky
Or a good strategy will do with out been lucky

  12. You really are unique aren't you? Your daughter has featured in a couple of vids , is she an active, profitable trader now, after all your tuition?
