You're correct. Putting what you've learned into practice is the ONLY way you can improve/become good. It's the same as learning to drive. Your instructor can explain how to execute a manoeuvre to you over and over, but you will never be able to do it unless you put it into practice and do it multiple times in order to perfect it.

I'm trying to work out the best way to increase returns on investments. I have noticed that even the best hedge funds achieve roughly 15% over 10 years. Whats the average return on active Forex/stock trading over 10 years? Do individuals get a better return than hedge funds/manage funds and if so why? Thanks for any information, your videos are easy to understand.
