How my Betfair trading is going to change in 2023

This time last year, I was having a great time, until I wasn’t

At the tail end of the travel disruption caused by the Pandemic, I took the opportunity to have a blowout holiday with the family.

All was going well until I fell ill, and I knew there was a risk of this because of something that had happened three years earlier.

Despite this, I set about having a bumper year in 2022 to achieve my very long-term Betfair trading goals. I managed to achieve those last year.

That and what happened last year made me contemplate and realise a significant thing I’d forgotten to do right at the start of my career.

BTW, don’t worry about me. I’m fine. I just need to be a bit more careful than before. There are many people in much worse circumstances. It’s just that being poorly makes you think a bit.

00:00 – We all have mountains to climb
00:07 – Going on holiday, then desperately wanting to get home
04:25 – What would you do if you won the lottery?
07:47 – Double £1000 in a week by Betfair trading
10:50 – How I’ve stayed motivated, and what’s next?

  1. I love the picture of you in 1st class cabin, only Peter Could take a lifetime holiday and be trading on his computer 30,000 ft in the air paying for it before he's even landed!!! . Seriously cool 👍
I was also expecting a ' bet angel flag to proudly flying on top of that mountain peak… Really, you missed a trick there Peter 😂 lol

  2. Hope you r well. I love your videos on betfair trading, a real inspiration. Im getting profitable, but I did a stupid thing and became over confident, went in-play and blew my entire bank, quite stupid really. Have you ever blew your account when you started?

  3. Congratulations Peter on all you've achieved. I've followed you for many years and appreciate all the advice and expertise you've given throughout the years you fully deserve your break 👍

  4. Great video as always Peter. The neuro-science data is actually quite clear on the fact that, not having this lottery winning moment, is way better for your dopamine levels.

  5. Thanks Peter for sharing that, it's made me think about things I want to achieve in my life too. You deserve to relax and enjoy your life, you've worked hard all your life, it's time to sit back and enjoy your time. I'd be interested in reading a book by you if you ever got the chance to write it. It would be at the top of my list of books to read.

  6. I'd love to be able to bet on court cases. Being a fan of true crime, I think the Alex Murdaugh family murders and the Idaho 4 slayings would make excellent markets. If some of these Trump investigations end up in court they too would be interesting markets.

  7. 5 years ago I sat In front of a consultant lady who said " you have a cancer and it's incurable". The rest of the consultation was a blur. 5 years later, laying some paving stones suddenly I felt quite ill, and an hour later the local hospital said that I had just had heart attack, and best bit was that they asked, "If certain things happen, do you want to be resucitated" .Rather like Peter , I now have a target which is to really understand trading, and work on reducing my childrens' mortgages.
As far as health is concerned, my view remains – the cancer dand the now dodgy heart must both like me otherwise I wouldn't have them.
My kids debts are my target and like everyone trying to trade, some days we win and sometimes we lose, so traders out there, just keep at it. Oh and btw, BetAngel helps! Brian

  8. With a £1000 bank role and expecting to make £1000 in a week, what stake would you be using approx across markets, + what ROU would you expect per market / how markets would you expect to trade in 1 week?
Long question but I'm genuinely intrigued as to what approach you would take to accomplish this. Thanks 👍

  9. Take care of yourself, Peter. You provide a fantastic perspective into sports trading and also in a wider context with how life can intertwine with it. You obviously have a very driven and competitive personality which needs to be stimulated. I guess it's just a case of you being aware of that and finding the right balance moving forward. Keep up with the great content!

  10. WHAT A GREAT VIDEO PETER IT LITERALLY HAD A BIT OF EVERYTHING. I WISH U ALL THE BEST IN ALL ASPECTS OF YOUR LIFE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUR HEALTH. THANK U SO MUCH FOR OPENING UP TO US ALL U ARE A TRUE INSPIRATION. 👏✌💙

  11. Good stuff. Trading on an all weather card in February is clearly not required at your level. Why not just do the big stuff at bigger stakes and get your life with the family back. THAT is priceless.

  12. Saudi Arabia hasn't been on the phone to you have they? There comes a time in any professional sports person's career when they have to start thinking about retirement. You have influenced many of us wannabes traders for many years, and to aspire to be like you Peter. If there's 1 market you would like to be your last trade what market would it be?

  13. Get your nutrition on point Peter, potassium, magnesium, vit d,k2. Anything lingering have a look on pub med type in what’s bothering you and the word herbal see what comes up. Take care of yourself bud enjoy your winnings with your family

  14. There’s a very sobering graphic which shows how many weeks (on average) someone lives for (and therefore how many Saturdays we get)… after seeing that I won’t waste another single Saturday on betfair, I hope the same will be true for you!

  15. Success is when you set up structures that compound and outlive your input . Essentially cloning yourself . Anything else is luxury. PETER you have cloned yourself many times over . A beautiful family That loves and cares for you . BET ANGEL family says .. 🌠🫡LONG LIVE THE KING 🫡🌌

  16. I enjoyed that one Peter. You are a very genuine and honest person who takes the time to share your experiences and try to help others succeed. Iv been following you for over 10 years and only the last few have I really been able to generate consistent returns from both sports trading and Value betting. The latter being the most profitable and consistent as once the value has been found the rest is set and forget and Math. I love my career as a sports trader. I focas mainly on UK and Irish Horse racing.
Maybe now its time for you to focas more on helping others succeed if that's something that you enjoy doing. Leave the trading to set and forget or Automation or better still invest a few million pounds 💷 in a high interest savings account and live of the interest 😊 😉 you won't get less then 5% in todays market place

  17. Go buy a beautiful big house somewhere hot like Florida so my two cats can experience the outside in their twilight years.

  18. Fantastic video Peter. Such vulnerability. I have experienced much of the same dilemmas in my own gambling. It’s quite the journey starting to do things that we love – while missing out on big race meetings. But I feel, they show us, really what is important. Congrats on hitting all your goals.
