Would a bad temp sensor caused the car not to start
You don't have to drain the coolant. Just pull out the sensor and install the new one.
Sir where is the located coolant sensor of nissan xtrail..2004
Thank you so much,I love when things like this are a simple fix
I know this video is old but would make your car go in limp mode
Do Not over tighten the sensor, it is made of brass and will break off in your engine.
Once you have it hand tight, you only need to turn the wrench a half turn or less to snug it up.
Don't forget to bleed air out of the coolant system when replacing fluid.
Just replaced mine on my 03 Sentra, same engine. No need to drain the fluid, just disconnect the connector to the sensor take 19MM deep socket or Wrench and loosen it. It did not leak any coolant at all. Hope this helps
Many thanks for your replacement instruction of the thermostat sensor
Hi. I have a 2011 Altima and it's been over heating but it takes 50 miles for it to do it. Well today it started to over heat and the car would not go over 50 and the pedal was all the way to the floor. Help
That’s actually a 19mm wrench based on another video I saw because when I tried my 14mm, it simply was too small
Do You HAVE to drain the coolant. I seems high enough to not need to drain it. Thanks
I keep getting cold air from my vents. What should I do?
1) Never take the radiator drain (petcock) out unless you have to. Unthread it a few turns until it starts draining. I'm reluctant to even loosen it a little. Not something you want leaking down the road because you messed with it.
2) the coolant temp sensor is at the top of the engine! You only needed to drain a very little if at all. Why not just pull the coolant temp sensor out, let a little drain (if it even does) and replace? 🤦🏼♂️ Maybe you parts guys should stick to selling parts!
I have a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5l and it runs hot when it’s idling or in park while on and i was wondering one of the fans is turning but the other one stays off most of the time and i was trying to see what could be making it do that if i need a radiator fan or just the sensor?
14mm wrench is too small!!!
i have a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 S with a no-heat at idle or low speeds (i.e. no defrost ). when I get up to 50mph or higher speeds the heater is fairly good, but as soon as I come to a slow speed limit, the heat fades to cool air. I cant defrost my windshield or clear in sleet/snow. I have replaced both thermostats and flushed the heater core in both directions. what should I try next and do you have a video for it?
Good video
can't see why you would drain the coolant total waste of time and money
You guys didn’t burp radiator. Air bubbles can damage the car!!!
U r AWESOME…. Ty ty so much im changing my radiator out as well i got frustrated when temp gauge went up to hot n im go try this hopeful this will help n plus my car dr said the same i wanted ur opinions not saying he was wrong but wanted to know from the expert ty ty i can do this myself..bless u have a good Easter..
You guys are the best.
Would you guys know what causes my temp gauge to jump up and down?
Do you to drain your radiator fluid to change the coolant sensor
I love my 2003 altima its been faithful 15 years and over 372k miles.. But I have to wonder are these cars money pits?? I hear from other owners theyve had nothing but problems.. Guess im lucky
Why did you have to drain the coolant just to replace the sensor?
Hello, I recently bought a coolant temp sensor from 1a auto and the one I receive has like a washer. Does it go in with the washer going in first?
Hey how do you know you need a new one. ? my car doesent want to start. i was driving and then ut went off on me. could this be the problem
2 questions.
•How do I replace the thermostat?
My temp gauge keeps up and down, the a/c stops working and recently white smoke was coming out the exhaust. •Will replacing the thermostats help?
Great, that help me to find out where is the coolant temperature sensor…
thanks was good to listen and learn something new
Hi Do you guys have any video on how to replace both thermostat on a 2002 Nissan Altima …
Is it really necessary to drain out the coolant fluid?
It is not there, the only thing that is between the throttle and the air filter is the mass air flow sensor..
If you could upload a video or a picture of where it might be, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you
Hey, do you guys know where the intake air temperature sensor is located in the same car? They "pepboys" told me it was going to be located between the throttle and the air filter but I can't find it
my thermostat includes the rubber around it. does it have to be fit in the hole?
Do you guys use a specific brand of tools? I notice that you guys have a craftsman toolbox
Hola amigo una pregunta donde lleva el sensor de temperatura una chevrolet colorado 2006 gracias..
