13. good idea to lay odds on in a poor race and also horses carrying too much weight. The market is not a great guide to picking winners – big movers in the market, have usually been backed each way.

17. Last week I did a matched bet at the bookie and Betfair. I logged back on a bit later and noticed the odds at Betfair had come right in from over 9 to 6. I checked the bookie and they were still at 9. But just as I went to click the back button at the bookie, it changed to 6.5. That was at 9 for some time because I had to put more funds in my BF account to ensure I had enough to lay it off.
    The odds at BF then drifted out over the next hour or so and the bookie odds followed. I looked at the chart and there seemed to be a few bets placed/matched around £2000 at the same moment which I guessed pulled the odds in.
    I wish I could have seen that coming or thought to react to the price drifting back out afterwards.

20. Why did you not mention the 2nd fav was a nr after you placed your lay resulting in big r4 so of course the rags shortened laying pre race for big money on fancied horses can often just as easily lead to a big red up
