Jonathan Little is back to the $2/$5 Zoom poker streets and picks up KTs in the small blind. Facing a button raise, he decides to 3-bet, his opponent calls and they head to a flop.
Three hearts arrive, K-T-7, giving Jonathan top two. He continues his line of aggression and bets around a third of the pot. Another call. With the jack of diamonds arriving on the turn, Jonathan’s hand is starting to look weaker and weaker, whilst his opponent’s range is getting stronger and stronger. It’s not looking good for our hero.
It’s time to slow down. Jonathan checks to his opponent who doesn’t hesitate to put him under pressure by betting half pot. Will Jonathan take his hand to showdown? Will his two pair hold up? Watch this poker short to find out!

What do YOU think the opponent is overbetting with on the river? 🤔
Vocos vocas am calling do call 😂
From these comments….poker is alive and well. The way some of you put so much emphasis on KJ is ridiculous. Yeah he has 2p, but there are also plenty of hands he loses to.
He would've been much better of if the J didn't roll off. BTN has range and nut advantage on this board…especially with just a smooth call to the 3b. He has a ton more straights and flushes. His turn bet sizing to set up his polarizing river shove is either a busted Ah draw or a really strong hand that a 2p is never beating.
Its always a good thing to remember: two pair is only two pair. more than one pair but that´s about it.
Terrible fold
what site is this?
An overbet on the flop would have won you the pot and avoided this situation.
Back on my days people also used to bet for PROTECTION.
You cannot give him two cards of hearts just because he 3-betted.
Cbet much smaller
I think I would have done 15% pot on the river to block. At least when he calls you get info. My guess is 2P or AhKx.
What you think you can call river with as played?
Once that flop came down, there’s no way I’m putting any more money in the pot 😂
This is the problem with nerdy play. Sometimes they have it. 😂🎉🎉🎉
Should never called that much 😎
So many bluffs here
I hate two pair. Even when winning. Best Looking worst hand.
Easy fold
A blocker bet on the river could’ve save you
Nit
Ace 9 off
you gotta fold there really
But you DID fold… That's what separates the Good from the Greats… Now i understand, coz no way Im folding that time too 🙂
I hate folding so much too
You messed up the hand by not making a full house. Not as good as you act 😉😉😉
A good player would have filled up on the river
Dude had AK, stop worrying about the monsters in the closet.
That was me you were playing against I had nothing 😅 but the ace of hearts
Only real hand that makes sense is a set to me
I just went thru this same scenario in a live game. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the fold (was so fixated on my 2 pair). Happily, I learn more from my failures than my successes! Thx Jonathan!
Isn't the initial 3b sizing of ~3.4x too small OOP? Don't you usually wanna just make it 4x?
