Inside New York City's MOST DANGEROUS HOOD – South Bronx 🇺🇸

In this video, we spontaneously dive into the South Bronx, a neighborhood full of edge, contrast, and surprise.
In regards to the South Bronx, I researched the most dangerous neighborhoods in NYC by homicides. Mott Haven has some of the highest homicide rates so that’s why I chose it. But as a non-local, it’s hard to know what exact place is the most dangerous. Overall my goal was to show a human side to a place that outsiders might perceive negatively. I’ve done these “most dangerous hood” videos in Karachi, Pakistan, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and have ended up with the same results: cool interaction and warm people. Actually, it’s in these neighborhoods where it’s easier to connect with people than the wealthier places. Despite the problems in the South Bronx, there is a lot of soul and warmth. I enjoyed my time there, met great people, and I took in the vibrant culture pulsating through the streets. Fricking amazing food there too!

My goal in this video was to show a specific angle of New York City. But NYC has so many different sides! Whether that be the South Bronx, Jackson Heights, the Hasidic Jewish world, an old school NYC local in Manhattan, etc. If you liked this and want to see completely different stories in the same city check out my full New York City Playlist here:

  1. I’m born and raised in Cambria Heights, Queens. Close to Jamaica of course. I’ve seen craziness, but I know my upbringing is not exactly the hood. Considering moving to a new luxury apartment complex in Mott Haven. Doing my research but I love that comment from spudders928. I think getting internal perspective is everything. I asked so many people their thoughts, including store owners, hotel receptionist and residents of different races, genders, and sexual orientations. I was a bit anxious about it at first as a young woman, but I feel like I’m smart enough to be there. And I’m excited for this.

  2. I'm from NY. Born and raised in Queens. Been all over the 5 boroughs. I spent a lot of time in the streets, was immersed in it. Saw my share of crime and shoot outs, some gang wars. I've hung with various gang members and organized crime syndicates, although never affiliated. Bottom line, I've been all around and seen more than most when it comes to NY culture. And I'm here to tell you, NY is a shithole. It's dirty, crime ridden, expensive for no good reason and depressing. Anyone who has a chance to get out and stays likes misery, drama and bs. They love having stuff to com[plain about, they like seeing the druggies and all the depressing run down buildings. They really don't want anything nice. They like that garbage and having something to always complain about. Leaving that misery behind is the best thing anyone can do.

  3. This guy is super paranoid. Doesn't really seem to have an agenda/itinerary/questions set up to follow. He just seems to be walking about super fast as though he's super high and is like get me outts here! And he says oh you can't really film heroin users?! What?? They are probably one of the best people to film and get facts from as they see and live the real life situation every day. Was really looking forward to this and really disappointed with it.

  4. Every borough has their areas like this. Flatbush Brooklyn, Jamaica Queens, North Manhattan (Harlem/Washington Heights) all look like this. I hate that people act like the other boroughs are any better. All the same!

  5. That lady said” I don’t mind anyones business” then proceeded to talk about everyone 😂

  6. BX born and raised for 21 years then moved. Ain’t nothing like the energy of the Bronx. Love it don’t miss it. As a kid it was everything to me as an adult not the same you notice more. Like he said dude about to take a shit by the tree in the middle of the day. Crazy!!!!

  7. YouTube automatically deleting comments if you speak your mind about you know what.

    Free speech is dead.

There is a reason they are trying to silence you. And it's not because of supposed misinformation…….

Most of the time you are silenced because you're speaking the truth and the ones who yield the power don't want the truth known.

It's people like me who will be the first to be detained or even eliminated completely. Everyone else is already under their control.

And imagine that, this time my comment wasn't deleted because I didn't mention the trigger words their algorithm looks for. Wish more people had the balls to boycott this disgusting company.

BTW, they nick named their network the beast. So if you happened to read the scriptures, you might see why that's of concern.

  8. 3:15 "a bit edgier than I thought" then you find the fruit stand but you're the only fruit chump walking around talking to a camera hustling people for little snippets of hood crap
AND THATS A MURAL BRO BRO BRO

  9. This warmed my heart, born and raised in Mott Haven, I hope if you got anything from being there, that you got love because it lives there in abundance.

  10. Born and raised in the Bronx. It sucks but it has its charm. However it is most definitely not the most dangerous hood in New York City. For that title my money's on Bed Stuy and East New York Brooklyn… honorable mention for Harlem.

  11. Wonder how many of those in the comments have their 3rd or 4th vaccine and just got Covid for the 3rd or 4th time. Stupid as sheep.
