1. I think a good trick could be to also truly catch an Ano by suprise. Before it can get its hunker down on in good time and ofc don't simply face tank it. I don't think it's op, because it does have a significant weakness which can be exploited if you simply stop, think, and play your cards right with whatever dino you have to fight it. Some will struggle more than others definitely.

2. I would say the opposite. It is definitely a good noob stomper, but it is not OP at all. If even one of those rexes you were fighting knew how to fight an ano, the ano is screwed because all of it's viability in combat hinges on standing still and hunkering down. This video is a perfect example of how NOT to fight an ano. By precise moving and using tail attack on ano (Rex tail even outranges the ano), it's an easy win. Facetanking tail slams on a crouched ano is where the noob-stomper category comes in. Ano is essentially just a knowledge check, as far as fighting it goes.

3. "Guys it's not op because it has to stand still while it 3v1s literally every dino in the entire game." That's what you sound like when you try to defend it. It's busted, stop making excuses for this.

4. Many players have learned to abuse their tail attack when fighting ano, wich makes ano extremely useless, if they know that tactic.

6. I got picked on a lot by carnos but once I got to sub adult, nobody tries to fight me yet.

7. The anos true weakness is bleed, and using maneuver tactics. A great example for this would be an allo or a styra because I have killed anos with these two dinos often especially when playing with other people. If I'm not playing a dino that is fast, or doesn't have bleed (like the rex) I try to fight as passive as possible against an ano, and try to get it out of its hunker down stance. I try not to face tank an ano unless it is reasonably weak enough to face tank.

9. There well over powerd 2 of them can own lizard spined lake and take on any full grown carnivore it baffles me how much of a boost they get over the rex's.they shud only become strong in packs not individually

13. Why does the normal tail attack have a 4 sec cooldown lik me whats up with that remove the cooldown and bone break and raise dmg to 30 😤all its atks are stam based or timer based

14. Normally i get attacked by 2 rexs i focus on one first then atk the other one u we’re focusing on both with out wven killing them so u kept gettinf dmgs to much if u took care of one first u would have had enought hp to kill the other one

18. Take the Anky back out of the game again. You're just going to have people play mainly as them now and the game will become stagnant and not fun to play anymore. This Dino needs a change. It needs to be able to be killed more easily. It's not even supposed to be apex. You should lose the hunker down ability if the Anky becomes bone broken or something. Changes need to be made.

19. Anky is only strong if you face tank it in its hunker. It’s countered by venom really hard and you can just let it starve and wait it out. Anky is kinda a noob trap

I’ve seen videos of a singular ano (with all defensive abilities) fight off a group of spinos, rexes, sarcos, and dasps all at once before, the weaknesses of the ano is it cannot move unless it wants to lose its hunker down which is far better than fortify for tanking which means it has to stay in one spot. This is awful for it because it means with a huge group of creatures a few can make sure it stays where it is and the rest can go refill their water or food if needed, this also means that despite taking heavily reduced damage it still does take damage so eventually it can be killed and it can’t go anywhere to run and heal. Now most ano players don’t seem to realize that anos tail slam uses stamina so they get carried away then cant use it if you are playing with/as a metri or megalania you can use your superior speed to bait tail slams and once it stops slamming hit it as much as possible to stack venom so it cant regen stam, its other offensive abilities do not require stam however so be careful if you notice an anos bleed or venom goes away abnormally fast then there is no point using those as it has resistance to it, but if it stays for a long period then it is most likely an all physical defense ano, hope this helps

24. It’s better when you focus down one target too, instead of switching between them. Focus on one threat to remove total DPS done on you.

25. I think because he can’t move… he’s balanced, just because the red berries are poisonous doesn’t mean you can’t try 🤷 every Dino has a purpose in the game and the anky is a tank. Plain and simple. Can’t even move from one spot. He’s op because people try and face tank him and get upseti spaghetti when their apexes die lmao bunch of crayon eaters honestly

30. This dino is pretty tough and tanky but the carc can kill these things pretty easily.

I killed one solo on your server and I was using a metri, took only like 10 minutes, gave it alot of venom bites for maybe 6 minutes then the rest of the time I clawed it, he couldn't hit me because I was to fast. First time I ever killed one solo, this was right after the patch and wasn't nerfed.

32. even before ano got all his neat defense buffs and abilities the best ways to deal with an ano is by keeping it away from food and water and its drain on those will kill it before long and if it gets up then well too bad for them

It is very resistant to physical damage but highly susceptible to bleed, try in your next test an ano vs an allo or 2 allos getting it with a claw or a steggo, the armor is vs physical damage not bleed which is why it has fortify, you can stackup on physical damage and be susceptible to bleed, or you can sacrifice some armour and have a better resistance to bleed

35. Me and my clan fought an albino anky and it took 4 rexes 5 trikes and 2 allos 3 suchos and I had to switch twice in official servers anky is too OP

    To essentially "beat the odds" you have to stack Defense over defense over defense and hope whoever is attacking you lacks patience.

39. Ano is balanced especially when the Rex's find out they can just walk away 😂 or try bait the ano to move

42. If an ano is chasing you, you can go in shallow water which might make it easier to kill since it won’t be able to crouch

44. The answer is no it is not op since you can just get a group of sarcos or 2 cordinated rexes or you could take a cup of tea or whatever you like and wait for The poor ano to just starve while you just tail spam it to death as a rex or spino.

    Then again, yes sarco can kill ano in a smart group and with The crushing bite alongside with ripping bite so in case the ano does a mistake and gets off hunker down mode the sarcos can just go in 1 after another with ripping bite
