I think the reason your Dogs strategy doesn't work is you can't place bets in-play – this why it works for horses because no horse starts at that price.

Simulation mode in BFBM is not going to give accurate results
Only way to know if this stuff works is to just run tests for a few months ( not only 24 hours ). I am running the exact test across sports and there are a bunch of issues such as scalability. My test case is here with real bets and I’m updating it weekly :

Delete the one for the Dogs you will never get matched at 1.01 because they don´t go in-running
To make money long term you'd have to get matched virtually every single time.
People backing at 1.01 are losing money hand over fist (people inside betfair say this) so yes money to be made laying at these odds.
As with all strategies you need to beat the break even strike rate which you can work out from the odds you are getting.
Would it be better getting on exchanges that offer 0% to reduce losses?
Ive just checked some figures in my database and it doesn't look great.
Eg in 2022 there were:
– 9696 winners that hit 1.01 and won a race.
– 121 runners hit 1.01 and lost a race.
Loss: £9696
Winnings: £11858
Profit: £2162
Other previous years look pretty much similar. Not great if you ask me.
Yes. You will make money long term but like i said earlier. Looking at £5000 or £3000 red before making any money can be extremely stressful 🙂
Won’t work as the time it won’t get matched in play is the time it’ll lose and that’s because of your place in the queue, hence why these bets are placed the night before and they are at the front of the queue. Queue position is the main factor here
Imagine losing £5000 🙂 and not having a single loser till the very next bet.

Watched this and decided to lay the last 3 races at Kempton. Very first race Confederation went down to 1.01 then lost, you may have something here!
Greyhounds wont get matched as they don't go in play. What horses racing are you using GB, IRE, AUS, NZ????
