By definition he quit… he decided to not continue, it might have been a liver shot that did it but he still quit.
To see Rua tap from strikes is holy cow.
There is a little bit of lagg on a liver shot, you go " did I just take a liver shot, ehm yeah, ow shit."
Joe he quit I seen it from both angles he quit
Bas is the true liver king lol. Anyone who's ever done boxing or mma or practice religiously know that's one shot you cant fake hiding the pain from.
discussing liver shot with bas rutten is like discussing animation with walt Disney. what a legend
Ryan admitted it was his ribs not the liver shot. Ryan literally said no it wasn't my liver it was the ribs. Fuckin morons
I used to do boxing as an amateur and the liver shot feels more like a gun shot, such crushing brutal pain!
My love of the liver shot came from getting dropped in a sparing match by one after that I practiced that shot from then lol
There was delay, on the reaction on Ryan’s liver shot, the two liver shots shown in the UFC they went down the moment it landed on the liver. Not a few seconds then they drop. It’s instant. I’m not saying he quit, but that’s why people think he did.
Bas is ace
Julio Cesar secret shot
Not me going to in-depth research of how and why this happens to make the body shut down. 😂
Liver is good food with sauteed onions.
In wrestling you can't strike. You CAN "accidentally" headbutt someone in the liver going for a shot, if their stance is bad and they're too tired for a good sprawl. I know because I was the tired kid with a lazy sprawl, who nearly shit himself on the mat when my opponents's cranium impacted my liver so hard I legit saw white for a moment. I can't imagine what a fully intentional body hook to the liver would do to me.
I tell people multiply the feeling of getting the air knocked out if you x2 mixed with kinda having to take a shit
Took a light sidekick to the liver while sparring one day. I shut down like I was operating on Windows 10 😂
Liver shot hurts like nothing else
They thought Garcia had a chance.
Dude's a social media influencer now.
Bas is one of my favorite fighters
I can’t imagine getting hit in the liver… I’d be done. Like forever lol
He quit
If you think Ryan quit stand up and hammer fist your self directly below your right rib cage right now as hard as you can. You’re going to drop to the floor and make noises you’ve never made.
All the pther liver shots people folded and could barely stand after the ko. Ryan stood straight up like nothing happened after the 10 count. He quit
Its a fckn factory reset button, it just spills ur ass down on the floor
one shot to the liver and you shrink down by the pain. it fuckin hurts
Age old tactic: if they have a strong chin, hit them in the body then
He was paid
Liver shots suck. It's the weirdest thing ever. You have exactly one single breath left and then it kicks in bad.
Hilarious all the shit he was talking and went down😂
Marcos Maidana is the only fighter I've seen come back from a liver shot to finish a fight strong.
I mean, technically he did quit
What did punching in the mirror with only his hands up do to help him? I don't get it
I mean I guess yeah he did "quit" but at that point in the fight I'm pretty sure we all knew including ryan that tank was better, better to take the L and come back later instead of taking more damage.
Liver shots hurt. Yes. But I've never seen anyone go down from a liver shot and not wince in pain.
He did give up there all fixed if was so hurt why did he get up as soon as the ref counted him out
After that 10 second count down he popped up and was just fine. Lol I’m not buying that lover shot bullshit
🥊🥋🥊
Grown men playing fight. Awesome.
A liver shot is literally a knock out
The look in Garcia's eyes when he is on his knee, and Davis is moving forward… that moment of devastating reality where if he was trying to kill me, I couldn't stop him… that will be the best thing to ever happen to Garcia. He's so young. So athletic and fast. If you can kill the ego, the ceiling is limitless.
He should send Davis a holiday card.
Facts. Anyone who was giving Ryan shit hasn’t had a proper strike to the liver
People don’t even realise that you can die from a liver shot
One of the greatest fights of all time Gatti vs Ward 1. Ward caught Gatti in the 9th with a liver shot he had dropped numerous boxers with. You can see Gatti wince in pain as he goes down and anyone who knows fighting knows it's over. You don't come back from that shot. Against all odds Gatti rises from the canvas and those two warriors have what I believe is the greatest round in boxing history. The whole fight is amazing and when you get to that round it feels like a movie. One of the greatest things I've ever seen.
