Second story shows what unfair and gynocentric the laws have become. This C U Next Tuesday stole and assaulted two cops and she gets probation !??? If it had been a man, he would have received a jail sentence right away and would also have received a beat down by the cops ! Which is why if anyone, especially a C U Next Tuesday, fucks with me and mine, I am not calling the cops cause all they'll do is give her a fine and maybe some community service, so no. Also he was asking for it by placing his precious family trinket out where anyone can grab it, he should have placed it in a case or on a shelve behind the counter or anywhere where someone can't just grab it. Last story. This is a serious issue in the food industry. To the point that some restaurants no longer take any reservations. Other restaurants ask for a non-refundable pre-deposit of 20% for reservations over 6. There are horror story of restaurants being put out of business by rogue reservations.
That was rather foolish of OP to be selling antiques at a flea market, but also randomly be displaying a family heirloom along with antiques that were for sale. Leave stuff you're not selling at the flea market at home next time, Einstein.

I don't understand why the woman in Story 2 didn't get charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer (x2) right away. She clearly did those things. I'm also pretty sure they could upgrade those charges because of the pepper spray and trying to go for the taser. Oh, wait – because it's a woman.

I don't know about the stealing the antique story. Pepper spray is strong, and there' no way in hell that Karen wouldn't have felt the effects of it. I entered a house where an eighty-five year old woman had been attacked several hours earlier. The pepper spray started to burn my eyes and throat immediately, and it had been hours, as I mentioned. Karen would have needed a gas mask, just like riot police wear, to not be brought down too.
