1. Wow,what a race,2 gold cup winners,,,,1 hell of a race fair play,,,king kauto won again,,but fair play for imperial commander really gutsy

8. How do you think they would get by fiddling the photo? How the hell could Paddy, Ruby or Nigel say that IC won. Two of them were on the horses and it was close, we are talking inches! We had a better view on the TV!

9. I'm not a real big fan of hurdle's racing. I've always been much more of a flat racing fan. But I have taken the time to watch some of this horse's races. Kauto Star is just an incredible horse. If you looked up the word STAMINA in the dictionary, I'll bet this horses picture would be beside the word as an example. Incredible the stamina this horse possesses. Just like Rite of Passage did in the 2010 Gold Cup, because of his stamina, I'll bet if you ran Kauto Star in the Gold Cup, he'd win it.

10. it is a case of horses for courses. kempton brings out the best in kauto, newbury for denman and cheltenham for IC.
    i have always said that a true run gold cup does not suit kauto. after he made his first mistake ruby couldnt get a breather into him as it was a fast run race. the official handicapper even said the race was run in a fantastic time.
    i always said that kauto would not beat a fit denman round cheltenham. if kauto stays on his feet his class may have taken him into 3rd at best

11. i backed denman e/w. i thought he would outstay IC up the hill but all credit to IC. he was the only horse to go with denman when he turned the screw. denman ran his heart out but on the day just wasnt good enough.
    IC deserves enourmous credit. his perfomance should in no way be under rated. even if kauto had stayed on his feet he was well beaten at the time and was booked for 3rd at best

14. @botelho27 lmfao , what happend ? kauto star hasnt got the legs to compete with denman ….. now you gotta eat your words and make excuses for kauto star .. and by the way denman beat kauto star AGAIN ( just making sure you got the news )

15. @botelho27 … they have both beaten each other in the gold cups ,and if denmans 90 % fit he will beat kauto star any day . i love kauto star but the truth remains he is not impossible to beat and if any horse can it will be denman

17. some very strong comments botelho, but i think if mccoy lets denman do the work (jumping ) himself , the result should be same as 2008 denman 1, kauto star 2 , dont forget denman (despite having a heart operation ) was second last year .

18. imperial commander may be a good horse but a kauto or a denman he is certainly not. this was the best chance that IC will ever have of beating kauto star.

19. imperial commander is a class 20 furlongs chaser but only at cheltenham never a 3miler this was a fluke run time shall tell also

21. Imperial Commander ran the race of his life and I see him as a possible King George and Cheltenham Gold Cup contender. Kauto Star won it on this occasion but by the tightest of finishes.
