Lakers Asked Wizards About Kyle Kuzma Trade, per Report

The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly expressed interest in acquiring Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma is having a career-best season, averaging 21.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. He will likely decline his 2023-24 player option to become a free agent and is expected to seek a significant pay upgrade. The Lakers traded Kuzma to the Wizards as part of a package for Russell Westbrook last August. It is speculated that LA’s general manager Rob Pelinka would be willing to part with a future first-round draft selection for Kuzma, however, the Wizards may offer him a long-term extension. The Wizards are currently sitting at No. 12 in the Eastern Conference and have lost nine of their past 10 games, while the Lakers are at No. 12 in the Western Conference and have won five of their past 10 games.
