X-COM: UFO Defense – also known as UFO: Enemy Unknown – is one of the giants of the strategy genre, and a game that spawned a subgenre all its own. This is truly one of the greats, and a game that devoured huge amounts of my time in my late teens and early twenties. In X-COM, we will be guiding a secret organization of soldiers to defend Earth against a horrifying alien invasion, kicking extraterrestial butt and taking names all across the world and beyond!
That said, it’s also a very hard game that inevitably involves plenty of casualties, so if you’re expecting a bloodless playthrough, well. . . adjust your expectations!

I just found this channel recently and usually can’t comment because I watch on Xbox but I’m trying to like every video. I was never good at original XCOM. Loved playing but don’t think I ever beat it.

The last series of xcom videos I watched, that guy liked to rename the soldiers.
He must have killed off every Hollywood action star, sci-fi character there ever was and a couple of ex-presidents as well.
He was terrible at the game.
I love laser rifle landscaping in UFO. you set a couple(or dozen) of your troops in line out of sight and start bringing down all the cover… if you try that with plasma weapons it's expensive…
I have the feeling that rocket launcher would be the best weapon but then I remember a rip commander who killed 2 in one shot…
I about cried when I saw the episode was only 35 minutes. Really enjoying watching this.

Doesn't OpenXcom let you send stuff out while they're still Refueling? I remember it letting me do so at least, in past games.
I also wanna say that I'm surprised you didn't stun rod that snakeman right under the skyranger. Seems like it would have been an easy target.

Given that you've ran low on laser rifles a few times now, is there a reason you're not keeping at least enough to outfit a Skyranger full of troops with laser rifles at least?

Though there were actually one missions that went casualty-less in the second episode, so missions with casualties aren't those with least casualties unless you mean "we took casualties, but fewest of them"
You know, I find it hilarious we have to research plasma ammo as well as the weapons themselves… wouldn't those go hand-in-hand? Or at least the ability to use them even if R&Ding them is needed to make more 😛
