Lil Nas X lit up the stage with a fiery performance of his hit single, ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ during the 2021 BET Awards on Sunday night. Lil Nas X took on the role of a pharaoh in an Egyptian-themed performance that paid homage to Michael Jackson’s ‘Remember The Time’ music video, ending the performance with a passionate kiss with one of the dancers. Ahead of the telecast, Lil Nas X told ET’s Kevin Frazier his performance would be ‘the best’ of the night. The BET Awards aired live Sunday, June 27 on BET.
