Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I’m your host Paul and this video we’re gonna be breaking down Love, Death And Robots Season 3. The last two entries have been amazing and the anthology animated stories have really provided a lot of thought provoking themes and incredible effects. Like last time each episode really stands on it’s own two feet and throughout this video we’re gonna be breaking them all down one by one.

Full spoilers ahead so if you haven’t had a chance to check it out then I highly recommend that you check out now. Please hit the thumbs up button if you love the channel and don’t forget to subscribe for breakdowns like this every day.

With that out the way, thanks for clicking this, now let’s get into Love, Death and Robots Season 3.

Ok so Exit Strategies is the first ever sequel that we’ve had for the show and it follows the characters that we were first introduced so in Season 1. Episode 2, titled Three Robots this followed the three machines in question going through a post apocalyptic landscape to look over human culture.

There were a lot of Alexa, game console and portal easter eggs. This is followed up in the second entry with their ship looking a lot like Egos from Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2.

After bumping into a stray cat they discovered that they were the ones who had taken over the world after gaining opposable thumbs. However in the followup episode we learn that it was basically humanities innability to co-exist with each other that caused their downfall. Everyone had the ability to heal the planet if they worked together but unfortunately greed and selfishness brought it all crashing down.

Now last time we closed out with the cats closing in and though we don’t get a continuation of this scene, they clearly got out of there like a cat out of hell.

This episode itself is based around exploring the titular exit strategies and we open exploring a gun fanatic camp that clearly hated liberals. They didn’t want anyone coming in to mess with their way of life and this is shown early on by the minefield surrounding their home. I found the hat slogans hilarious here and we have ‘I lubricate my gun with liberal tears,’ I let my guns do the talking and my other hat is a gun.

  2. As people at home begin to master tools like Unreal 5, the movie industry will decentralize and everyone will be able to realise their imagination

  3. Fun Fact: Despite what media tells you, most adult cats can’t drink milk.
This is due to their bodies halting production of gut enzymes that break down lactose when they grow up.

  4. Bad travelling feels a lot like a trolley problem. specifically the one where they say theres a large man on a bridge in front of you. When you push him onto the tracks below it would stop the train saving 5 peoples lives. I personally think that the shows answer to this, while surface level seems barbaric, is actually fairly decent. I don't think that one individual should have the responsibility to choose anyone's life over anyone else but in terms of the collective good he did what was right for humanity. Its a lot like the swarm in a weird way. The colony became successful thinking of the collective good. However the solution to that was to take away autonomy and individual consciousness, relying on instincts and simple tasks. The only reason there was a conscious being within the colony was to ward off other intelligent threats. To become more proactive to protect the collective as a whole

  5. in your commentary on Bad Travelling you said he exploded the barrels and killed the thanapod, but the thanapod clearly stated that its outer shell gave it protection against the fire and oil. he obviously killed the offspring's who were not yet protected and then took his chances on sailing off to the island.

  6. The best and worst thing about this show is that each and every episode can be turned into an entire show but all we got is one episode.

  7. I hated Jibaro. The exhaustingly trembling camera angles make you have a nervous breakdown, the facial expressions make no sense and overall it seems like it was created by a few Tiktokers (aka 5-10 second shots with some ridiculous movements/reactions). The animation quality constantly switches between modern 2022 art and 2005 world of warcraft level.

  8. Everytime man… every freaking time it cuts to those mini monks whooping mini zombie ass- I lose my shit. BTW! I think at Bad Traveling they're not drawing straws to pick a leader but to pick a sacrifice to go down. That's why that big guy looks shocked at first when he drew his straw and the brother stepped up to anxiously pick his and his brother's straw.
It's just that when big guy knew he was gonna die he used his size and obviously menacing strength to switch the page and impose himself as the leader to survive and select someone else to go down.

  9. If you liked Bad Traveling and Mason's Rats, strongly suggest you pick up some of Neal Asher's work. He wrote both (AND Snow in the Desert from Season 2).

  10. 🖤☠🤖 delivered another season of beautiful animation and fucked up stories. I always try to give it a chance and am disappointed every time.

  11. Great recap on a great season, but I think the survivor in "Vaulted Halls" cut her eyes and ears off to avoid the elder god's efforts to set it free.

  12. Your comments about how things looks like other things from other movies reminds me a lot of bovine poop.

  13. Loved the “what we do in the shadows” reference for jibaro 🤣🤣🤣 – i was reminded of that episode when watching jibaro too, oddly enough
