This week we’re taking a look at the Fender Mute found on vintage Jaguars and Bass VIs, from how they function to how best to set them up. But the real reason for the video is how to modify the Mute plate to accept a Mastery Bridge. The Mute is one of my favorite sounds and part of what makes Jaguars such unique guitars. That dead, sustain-less sound is perfect for modern LA folk or even heavily effected, synth-like guitar parts.
