Over the course of Season 1 and 2 of Power Book 2 Ghost Monet and Diana have had a somewhat close but strange relationship. Being the only daughter to Monet, Diana has been someone who Monet’s been nurturing, mentoring, but also protecting at the same time, but the issue is, these kids are no longer kids, they’re turning into adults and they’re ready to become their own men/women.

Monet’s been teaching Diana how to level the playing field in a mans world and Diana’s been doing exactly this in Season 2. She’s now doing what benefits herself, kind of what each of The Tejada’s do, they do what they think is best for themselves, whether it be Cane with the powdered sugar move, Dru keeping Ev alive, Lorenzo controlling the family and having everyone play their positions, while Monet making moves to exit the game.

But her plan was scuppered by Diana and the dinner table scene where she made her second threat to kill Diana, but could we really face a scenario where we could see Monet kill Diana? I personally can’t see it, but in the latest Crew Has It Podcast, Mary J Blige did tease she had to kill someone who was close to her, someone who she didn’t want to kill, but she had to. So who could she have killed while filming the back end of the new season?
