You guys are missing the point. It's way better now because people can actually find the exact subject they want talked about. Back in the day we were stuck having to listen to one sport to talk radio show and whatever topic they were on you were stuck having to listen to it. Now I can find pretty much any team or thing I want to hear discussed It's the best and it's never been better if you know what you're doing online
Seriously how much would you have to bet at Collins level for it to be worth it if your team loses and you would feel fulfilled tens of thousands of dollars? I can't even come up with a number that's realistic. I make pretty good money in If I would have bet Ohio State yesterday as a Michigan fan it would have taken thousands of dollars for me to be happy with the result if the buckeyes won or at least not as mad. His logic makes no sense
Talk radio is dead because there are no hosts that are authentic, and when one happens to get a show, they get run off. Case in point, i was interested in the dawand jones story. How does he fall to the 4th round? I check various radio shows that talk about him and no one will say. I check podcasts, articles, they all dance around it. I finally found one guy who says he is super arrogant which scared teams off. I shouldnt have to dig like that but it makes me feel the entire sports talk industry is corrupt and inauthentic so i tune out.
Sometimes i play a game where i turn on sports talk at a random time to see what the first words are. I turned on the mightier 1090 yesterday and the first 3 words were “tik tok dance”. Instantly switched it off and laughed. Havent gone back since.
I like Nick way more off TV because he seems more genuine. He isn’t bad on TV, just feels like he’s multiplying his personality and projecting it way harder which is what TV personalities usually do. I like him more like this.
Talk radio died when rush Limbaugh died . Sports talk radio died with 24 hour talking head sports media and now the sports podcasts . Morning radio is still a thing , there’s still overnight radio , that’s about it .
Theres countless things in life people get addicted to. Addiction is a part of life.
PMT def the biggest “ national sports radio show “
I go all in.. I benched James Conner on my fantasy team in the flex spot and put in tank dell.. Also starting CJ stroud over Jalen Hurts. Hasn't really hurt me lol
This was a great conversation. Would definitely listen to these guys chop it up about life anytime. More please
Colin… you missed his point about 2 hours on radio while retired in Hawaii. You actually voiced the opposite: only take what banks coin when gray-haired old.
WFAN NY sports radio is still alive
As a big fan of both you guys, it's really cool to listen to a very casual conversation between friends.
No, the talk radio is not dead. But I hope Nick Wright (LeBrick's employee) is.
These guys arent betting…you kidding me this is the deal to be in this position to tell people what to bet and not suffer any repercussion
One bet everybody knows the rules
I was a Rural mail carrier, sports radio got me through many long days in my career.
Di Pietro and Rothenberg best local sports radio show in NYC 🚨
Sports Betting is destroying sports. All ppl care about are ridiculous prop bets and spreads instead of actually enjoying the game and rooting for your team to win. All for nothing, because they won’t win in the long term. It’s sad.
Talk Radio isn't dead, its the heart and soul of alot of people. Its peoples bread and butter when they wake up.
It really sucks that gambling is being promoted to such a young and impressionable audience so much
Yes because they have a commercial on KNBR every 2 minutes.
I’m guilting of betting against my favorite teams too. Especially in big games so I’m not too heartbroken if my squad loses lol
Im a truck driver and I used yoo listen to talk radio every single day. Now i just put on various sports shows via youtube and just put it in background. Some asian dude plays FS1 and ESPN live throughout day. Pays for my YT premium account alone.
Nick is describing his gambling addiction. Nobody gets in trouble for reading too much.
These guys are so good, but its funny to watch as you can tell how much they want to find a break in point, as they are into talking and not listening. Comes with job I guess.:=)
People like Brandon perna are the new talk radio.
Or Pat McAfee is nails.
