  1. It CANNOT be that all NU players are mentally weak. It has to be the coaching staff, the game plan or something else internally, the mindset to demand perfection and intensity from the offensive line.

  2. Gary nailed it, the problem is this has been a problem for the last 4 years. Anytime we had one or two things go bad, the team falls apart. Martinez could never lead the team back to a victory. Or at least very rarely.

  3. NDU has a tough front 7 with 7 or 8 defensive linemen who can all play and get after it. It will be very hard to run the ball on them being that their depth hasn't been affected yet being week 1. So Nebraska is going to be 1 dimensional passing the ball and that will make it a close game. Take 22 points all day long!

  4. im setting myself up for success here. my expectations after that northwestern game are quite low. i dont think NU scores 40 points. final score: 38-17 NU

  5. Frost looked VERY nervous at his post game talks, figiting, rapid blinking, playing with his hands, plain and simply, he looks defeated
and their O didn't look good zilch run game, CAN'T run, you CAN'T win

  6. I think people have given Frost enough slack. I loved him as a QB but as a Husker head coach he is a recurring joke. I wouldn't be at all surprised if North Dakota wins this game despite what the Huskers are supposed to do. This just has to be Frost's last year at Nebraska despite what the guy has done in the past. Lets get a coach, a real coach, not someone riding on past glory.

  7. Well the asshole on the right of the screen is the mentally WEAK and talks like a demoncRAT.
Kid what happened is 4 new coaches on one side of the ball and a lot of new players that have not gelled in a NEW system and its Not just new to most of the new players we have Its New to EVERYONE. And we played against a team that this is the way they have played us and a lot of other teams in the little ten for a decade or more. And in the last 4 years looked like they have a pattern starting to develop. Every other year they suck and the rest of the time they do pretty well. This is a year they are supposed to be on the up side. And we will not know that for three to four games.

  8. The things that cost us, outcoached overarches all of this…..I don't believe a weak mentality was the problem at all, I think our players were as stunned as the fans that we were not what we thought we would be against NW. The ineffectiveness of the d-line and pass rush was most shocking to all and the poor LB play was also shocking according to what we believed would be the case.

#1 turnovers, the fumble that wasn't a fumble, deflected dropped pass by Liewer for INT and a poor route by Martin for INT

#2 Frost's decision to do an onside kick at the worst, the worst time when we had a double-digit lead and all the momentum

    #3 poor tackling

    #4 no pass rush whatsoever

    #5 Vokalek getting hurt

#6 dropped passes and over or under throws

#7 couldn't stop the run late

#8 couldn't run up the middle but could outside and yet only a couple outside run calls

  9. For most of what you've said, I don't disagree. It is worth saying in relation to Northwestern that historically they are an every other year team, so despite them being largely the same program as last year, it's shouldn't have been a given that we were going to win. I would also suggest that had this game been Oct. 1 it probably would have had a different outcome, the first game you're always going to be dusting off the cobwebs and it's even more true when you consider how many changes we had in our skill players. As far as predictions go for North Dakota, I do agree hanging 56 on them shouldn't be an issue, but I do feel we need to first establish the run and then find that balance even if it means a slower start than what we would typically want.

  10. When I've heard several times "remember, this is North Dakota, not North Dakota St. We'll be ok." tells me how far the Huskers have fallen.

  11. I hope we beat these guy's handily, but after watching some Christian Watson film, because I'm a Packers fan and was excited about him, I can say NDSU looks like men amongst boys when they play fcs games for the most part, their 9 fcs championships attest to that… My gut says whatever happens is going to be ugly

  12. Nebraska is a joke let me rephrase that Scott Frost is the joke it's a damn good thing it ain't North Dakota State they are playing or it would be another loss but what gets me is the Nebraska fans they make it sound like losing 11 or 12 games in a row by one school or less is a positive thing it don't make a damn if it's one possession or ten possession it's still a damn loss and some of these so-called analysts are saying the only way Scott Frost is going to save his job is by beating Oklahoma I hate to buddy these analysts bubble but it's not going to happen I think Nebraska is going to get hammered this year by Oklahoma
And the administration at Nebraska is a joke why is Scott Frost even still the coach at Nebraska?
Nebraska fired bo pelini after he went 67 and 27 at Nebraska what Scott Frost would have to win 50 straight games just to match that record and he still around why is that?

  13. You totally miss the mental assessment. When you are up by 2 touchdowns and your half a fucking retard coach imposes idiotic calls, you are not mentally weak. You think "we got to beat NW and our own coach." You won't get a lot of performance in those conditions.

  14. What's wrong with the Huskers?!?!? It starts within. No Mental and toughness – no grit. Too many HYPE videos and NIL crap turning players into wannabees instead of killer bees. A DB knocks down a pass and he prances around like he's Muhammad Ali – save all that showboating for the end of the game – not during the game. It's all woofing and trash-talking. That only takes you as far as the snap at the line of scrimmage. ANY ONE PLAYER from the 94-95 teams could beat the snot out of the current team twice over and again on Sundays. Those were some tough dudes…..We just need some tough guys! I don't care how many stars they have!

  15. I didn't think they even played football at North Dakota… only hockey. Who's next?… U of Alaska. Frosty sayin…. Thank God for cupcakes…

  16. Thank god they are playing North Dakota and not North Dakota State. NDSU already beat a ranked Iowa team a few years ago and has a winning record against FBS schools.
