1. The Norm trade was rushed and wasn’t even necessary to get under the tax. I’m a Blazer lifer and Cronin has been lucky AF in the draft and terrible in trades. Imagine if we got actual assets back in the Norm trade.

8. As a portland fan, I can tell you this fact: No one wants to go to Portland

9. The thing that kills Portlands leverage and works in Miami’s favor is that there are no good trade partners outside of Miami. Dame has flatly said he doesn’t want to be traded to Boston and why would Brooklyn give up the haul they got for Durant and Kyrie for an objectively worse team?

   So you basically just tell Miami you want 3 or 4 picks and swaps to the rest to essentially control their draft going forward, send Tyler to a 3rd team for more picks/potentially exciting younger players, and staple Nurkic to Dame as the Dame tax. Thats a pretty good trade all things considered.

    Before the trades at the trade deadline last year portland was the 2nd highest paid team and were a losing ball club. And for you casuals he picked up this horrific roster from Neil Olshey. The team also went under new ownership and new agendas come into play. New ownership DID not want to be in the luxury no more.

    He used a 9 mil veteran minimum he only got because he got portland out of luxury and signed GP2's stinky butt and flipped that for 5 2nds.

    He then flips expiring contract Josh Hart for the Knicks first and two expiring contracts to get that off the books.

    Casuals say he's been bad but in reality he cleared one the most overpaid trash rosters in league that previous GM Neil Olshey created. Portland is only now just getting to ground 0 after taking care of those bad contracts.

    The trades had to happen. Would more be better? Of course but the landscape of the league at the these trade deadline were scarce and there's deadlines to get under the luxury

12. the worse deals the Blazers make, the more fans stand behind the Blazers bad decisions. Portland is a small city, a 1 team State. I think fans are embarrassed, and have a different reaction to events then normal sports fans.
